  1. Looking at my build codes I see 1KT but not any of the other codes, does anyone know what that means in terms of break disc sizes?
  2. I would like to buy a set of front & back brake discs and pads. Then I was planning on taking it to local garage and have them fit. I found these parts for my registration and it's coming in at £175. Do they look like there right parts?
  3. It's completely stuck and won't open, so I'll talk to the dealer. I thought it might have been frozen, but seems not.
  4. Octavia Estate boot keeps not opening when it's cold. It seems a bit sporadic too, sometimes it opens and then seems to get stuck. It shouldn't be doing this even in this weather should it? The car is under warranty, do you think I need to book it in? By the time I get it booked in it's unlikely I'll be able to reproduce the issue though..
  5. Thanks for the replies. I bought the car used and it was already damaged so not sure how it happened. It's on the bonnet. Mostly I'm just worried that is going to rust.
  6. Do you think it's possible to fix this? It's about 1-2cm. I think it's only the top layer.
  7. Maybe this is more like it https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/trw-2197801.html
  8. Is this the correct part for the VRS 1.4? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-MK2-2010-2014-POWER-STEERING-PUMP-6R0423156B-6Q2423051-RHD/192742781857?hash=item2ce05d73a1:g:OsoAAOSwnhlcASMl:rk:4:pf:0
  9. Progress Skoda won't give me anything and no good will from Skoda either.
  10. I'm being quoted 1200 to fix power steering on my car (2013 fabia VRS) The technician sent me a video within which he says the power steering power connector socket is broken. As a result water has in-gressed. They recommend replacing the pump at 1200. Now I had the engine replaced under warranty 2 years ago. Why would the clip be broken? Only the person who built the car (Skoda)/ serviced it/replaced the engine (Progress Skoda) could have done this. Person I spoke to at Progress said it's wear and tear?!
  11. I was told no updates regarding the gear box before. Car was registered Aug 2013. Dealer is progress Skoda Letchworth.
  12. The warranty on the replaced engine paper work says , the engine has a 2 year warranty. It was replaced September 2016, so that would mean it's covered until September 2018. Also I paid £200 for an all component warranty that ends in July 2018. It must be covered under one of those. The MOT has an advisory on the tyre, that's all.
  13. I have an all component extended warranty on my Fabia VRS until July (07/07/2018). Just had the service done and they say there is a possible leak from the sump. They want me to take the car back in two weeks, and the warranty will have expired by then. Just to add that the car had a new engine 1.5 years ago too under warranty. Can this issue be fixed under warranty, as they say it would be £195 to reseal? Car passed the MOT, but I think it might be time to get rid of it.
  14. Thanks for the links. What kind of sand paper do you use?
