It was very noticeable and mildly irritating. 'Normal' road surface (asphalt/tarmac) and noticed with speeds around 25-45 MPH. It was a manual gearbox. I also tested another VRS 230, this time with a DSG box, I believe it was an early/mid 2016 vehicle as well and I don't remember hearing the sound in that, but I may be mistaken.

Bit late to the party. I own a late 2016 (66 Plate in the UK), manufactured September 2016 approx VRS 230 and weirdly I've not noticed any 'low frequency' noises. However, when I test drove an early 2016 model VRS 230 last summer (2016) I noticed the noise in the tester vehicle.

Thanks, Yeah at the moment I've got the car on finance. Didn't know VW finance was so picky. I should probably have a read of the agreement.

I was wondering, does anyone know if software maps such as the Revotechnik and others are detectable when the vehicle is serviced by a main Skoda dealer? If so will this be a void of any warranty etc? Thanks

Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel if required Bilt Hamber Korrosol to remove metal contamination. It's the best wheel cleaner I've used and it's very reasonably priced. Can't say anything bad about any of their cleaning products infact.

I've got just over 1000 miles clocked and MPG in Eco on a 50 mile non stop A road an motorway run is around 31/32. In 'normal' mode it's not much different for me. Very much hoping it will improve soon though as I would like to see the MPG at nearly book figures. My previous car, a 9 year old 3 litre diesel BMW almost matched it's book figures which were still considerably higher than you'd expect. I've did the same 50 mile trip the other day and the needle moved from full to the next line down. On the way home the needle moved way past 3/4 tank. Same traffic conditions, same speed and similar road conditions (hills, corners).

Thanks for all your replies. Since I've ordered red I think I'm going to stick with that makes a nice change from my current dark blue car. I've got a week or so to change my mind apparently so who knows. I've only seen a VRS 230 in red and black thus far so unless I spot one in person it's probably best to stay as is!

I know it's more of a personal preference type of question but I've recently put in an order for a VRS 230 in the red. I'm not sure whether I want red or grey. I've only had dark blue cars before so I fancied a change to a lighter colour (only option would be black). What are your opinions? Meteor Grey or Corrida Red?

Just put my order in delivery time is anything up to 16 weeks. So long to wait. Red with couple of extras. Apparently it comes with a colour coded rear spoiler. I saw a demo one in red with a black spoiler I guess I'll have to wait and see.
