Hi all, My lower intercooler plastic has snapped and I can't bodge it with self tappers or cable ties I tried this eve I was just wandering if there was any difference between asz and blt intercooler? I want to pick a 2nd hand one up tomorrow but want to make sure there isn't a difference between the two engines intercoolers. The part number for the one im hoping to pick up is: 6Q0145804E Thanks Ryan

Hello. Not sure what's happened but I'm missing a washer jet all I know it was there sat and now it's not lol. Does anyone know if I can replace the 2 part in the square? Or do I need to replace the full unit? So maybe just have a go at bolting it back on? Other than that it does nothing?

Got under the car on lunch and there is 4 bolts that look to hold it in place and the hand brake cable goes into it can I just tighten the bolts and see if it raises it back up?

I see the handbrake cable but the metal to the side what's that?

I'll take a photo of my car in the morn but immediately to the right of the handbrake cable they're is a square piece of metal hanging down. Is the low handbrake cable anything to worry about?

Hi all, Not my car but I have the same thing hanging down plus another big piece of metal. Should it be hanging down and does anyone know what the pipe is? Also what could the piece of metal to the right of it be? I'd get some pics but it's to dark. Thanks. Ryan

Hi all, When the temp drops below 7 degrees I notice a cold draft in the passenger footwell. Regardless of where the heat is directed i still feel it. I've had a read of the below thread and could the missing frame let in cold air? I have a 2004 vrs. If so does anyone know where I can get the part (6Q0819647) Thanks

Thanks for looking. Unfortunately I have a silver vrs. On the car your breaking does it have a decent condition gear stick all the numbers on mine are worn out.

Cheers for the replies. I'm presuming it wasn't done on this one until I got it 18 month ago. But the damage must have already been done with the rust. I'll treat the rust tomorrow and look for a door. Any way to tell if it's a central locking door?

Hi all, How easy is it to replace a rear door on a fabia vrs? I'm starting to get some rust and I think it would be cheaper to replace the door with one from the breakers than have it sprayed etc. Would the central locking need recoding ? Cheers B

I commute about 40 mile each way for work, 54 plate vrs. 10 mile a roads 25ish mile motorway (60 limit) Then rest a roads. Trip computer is usually between 52 and 54 on way there. Same journey back with the 60 motorway limit again I get 57 - 59.

So the belt only lasted until last night DOH!!! would that mean the tension Pulley is broke? How easy is this to change? Is it another DIY option plus another belt. I have the Pulley listed below has anyone got any advice on how to remove and replace?

My car has AC so will it be a case of an extra pulley to put the belt around? Also can i drive the car without the belt? Hello all, The intercooler pipe popped off today just behind the headlight and under close inspection the actually intercooler clip has some damage and a crack. I've put the pipe back on and drove steady home but i don't think it will hold. Anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have the correct part number to order a new intercooler? I've looked at some and they seem to be plastic connections not metal. Anyone close to Doncaster selling a standard intercooler? Thanks Ryan

Hello. Just fitted a new custom boost pipe but the egr c clip has snapped in half doh. I've used one from the old Intercooler but it still pops the pipe off the egr. Does anyone know the part number for a new c clip? I've used a jubilee clip to squash the current c clip on the lugs hopefully it stays on when I drive. Cheers

Another job to add to my list on Sunday temp was fine until the cold weather started. Max I get is 75c and thats spending 30 mins on the motorway. Only reaches 90c if i crawl in traffic.

Cheers Is the downpipe in there somewhere? Is that where the leak could be coming from?

Hi all I was going to do the mr muscle trick this eve but I've had a nosey and once I took the under tray off I was greeted with the attached pics. Loads of oil. Could this be a damaged turbo or a bad seal? Unsure if I should mr muscle or investigate further. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ryan

Hi all. I've searched many a time about turbo noise but unsure if this noise is normal? https://youtu.be/OSOPE8rYLwY It maybe hard to hear due to the road noise but in the cabin it's far louder. If you turn up the volume or use earphones you can hear the noise. It's like a scream, only does it in high gears. Then randomly stops. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks R

Thanks for the reply. I'll mr muscle the turbo over the weekend. Bottom pipes were all ok so must be sticky vanes.

Hi guys, I've been a member for a short time but not posted too much. Been enjoying my little vrs until the past week :( Limp mode approx 3 times. Obd2 error code of p0234 》overboost issue. I've checked the top intercooler pipes and all seems ok ill get under and check below this eve. The error goes off after turning the ignition off and all seems ok then randomly goes into limp mode. Mainly on the motorway at 65 - 70. Then this evening I noticed some clutch slip at 2500 - 3000 rpm. Can an overboost fault cause clutch slip or have I got two separate issues? Btw it's 54 plate 80k standard. Well unless it's mapped. My egr also has some oil weeping too.could a seal have gone and cause a boost leak? Thanks Ryan
