  1. Just found the reply regarding installation in another post. Cheers
  2. Hi I was wondering how you got on with the installation in the end?
  3. "anywhere near filling up it"? surely that should be "anywhere near filling it up" anyway... Since being made aware of the lag , I seem to notice it more and am finding it a bit annoying in my 1.5 petrol. I like the sound of the Pedal box - seems like a cheap(ish) and easy solution to the issue. Maybe a silly question but what would happen if the Pedal Box were to fail? I take it any drive by wire failure involving the throttle would keep it closed?
  4. I didn't realise they said not to put car seats back there at all. With headrests removed I was happy with the high back booster similar to the post above pic, but would definitely have not put my toddlers seat there.
  5. I found they're not ideal for car seats. You will definitely need to remove the headsets. I fitted a smaller booster seat but found the depth of them a bit shallow to comfortably hold a bulkier car seat. It seemed to be moving round a bit much for my liking. Width shouldn't be a problem but you need to use your own judgement on how safe they feel.
  6. I've done it a few times too as barely hear the engine idling. Speaking of KESSY the key is not detected while it's been accidentally left on the roof thankfully! I did wonder if the window had been open, it would be a different story.
  7. Nice! didn't get a chance to take a photo of mine sorry, but sounds like it's not required!
  8. I've not actually got pictures of it yet! I'll try and get a couple and post. It will not be any nice shiny sunny day ones that's for sure!
  9. I've gone from Pearl Black Rapid to Quartz Grey Kodiaq with gloss black triglavs. I started to question myself why I paid extra for the gloss black, but when it arrived I was super pleased that I did and think the combo looks great. I'm sure they look great with Pearl Black too though!
  10. I ordered a 1.5TSI SEL 11th Oct which had an estimated date of Jan 17th. It was at dealer by 11th Dec. Perhaps I got lucky due to less orders over uncertainty of no deal Brexit looming on 31st oct.
  11. Thanks @silver1011. Sounds like I'll go with full rubber set. I bought some non genuine carpet mats for my rapid and my heal wore through the driver's side. Figured genuine carpet would be higher quality and last a bit longer.
  12. I was wanting carpet in the front and rubber mats in the rear. I see front and rear are separate options for the rubber mats but can't seem to find just front for official carpet mats. Anyone know anywhere that does front only?
  13. Thanks @Roottootemblowinootsoot I take it all Rapids from 2013 would have this gearbox? I was only assuming as it's the same symptoms I've found on various threads here. In hindsight I probably should have taken out services at a skoda dealer but I was offered a service plan from the Vauxhall dealer when I purchased the car.
  14. Thanks all for the replies. @Roottootemblowinootsoot it was serviced by a skoda main dealer until I bought it in 2016, but I bought it from a Vauxhall/Mazda dealer who then carried out the yearly services. I was told by them that the mechatronic and gearbox oil should be changed at 40k. Incidentally the bloke who carried out my MOT after mentioned it too - MOTs aren't carried out in Garages in NI so no money to be made. They didn't mention anything about recalls, but not being a skoda dealer I've probably got no comeback? Tony
  15. Pretty sure I've just experienced the same problem. Last night, parking the car then no gears, flashing spanner on dash. Found fluid to be leaking underneath the engine. No warning at all, car and gearbox have been performing absolutely normal. It's a 2013 rapid only 43k miles. Pretty annoyed as from what I've read it's going to cost a ton to fix. I was going to be advertising it for sale next week as have a Kodiaq due for collection on Saturday. Didn't trade as better deal in England and I'm in Northern Ireland. I bought it from a non-skoda dealer 3.5 years ago and had a service plan with them, it had the 40k dsg oil change in May. I've checked the recall website and it comes up that one is required for it. I guess a non skoda dealer would not know about it? Would I be best taking it (towed) to them or back to a Skoda dealer? So disappointing as it's been a great wee car and the only issue I've had with it was a flat battery. Such a waste if it's going to cost the value of it to fix. Probably get £1000 scrap for it otherwise. Was hoping to get £4500 in private sale.
