So if simply ignore the little spanner that’s telling me it’s 2 days till next service is due we would have no undue effect on either the car or our warranty ? I think hubby quite fancies getting it serviced anyway as we are off on a long journey soon and just likes to know that it’s been checked. So that would be just £220 max if we go for pollen filter change which it may be about due anyway. i on the other hand are a tight arse and am peeved as I specifically requested it be changed to variable and I’m sure I double checked it with the service girl so I shouldn’t be worry about it to at least summer next year. btw we got the car over 4 years and we adore it so may consider keeping her afterwards especially as diesels are a dieing breed.

Spoke to them earlier and they said as we are low mileage we should ideally stay on fixed service plan. We can’t prove we asked for it to be chnaged as it’s our word against them. i just want to confirm that all we actually need in our 69 2 year old 4x4 tdi is a oil and inspection service not what used to be called a major service (rather than what ever they call it now- enhanced is it????) I must admit this is the first time Skoda have managed to make me feel like a silly little woman not knowing what I wanted !

After 1st year service we asked car to be put on variable servicing (last oct) spanner has just popped up saying it needs an oil service so obvs wasn’t chnaged. car has only done 13,000 miles went to book it in at dealers and Skoda online quoting £289 2nd year service?!?! surely it just needs the oil change service. We have it on pcp abs don’t want to screw the warranty.

Picked our nearly new karoq 2.0 tdi up middle jan and it’s already come up saying needing oil service in 15 days!! Does this sound right?

The heated windscreen is also really useful in wet weather so not just winter.

I would recommend heated windscreen over upgrading seats and traffic sign reader. Far better and more useful spends of money

Our car is now up to 2000 miles yay and we are starting to hover about 38-40mpg overall which is including a few short runs and commute of 6-7 miles each way. That’s already 5mpg better than Our 1.5dci quashqai So we are relatively happy.

Ours is about the same at the moment. Hoping as everything losses up it will improve.

My heated seats are amazingly hot like a big hot water bottle under your legs and bum. I can only have them on hottest setting for a couple of mins or I overheat

Coming back to skoda it’s the sound the indicators make. It feels solid and safe the click noise

You know when you open a fan Oven door and you get a blast of hot air that’s what it feels like coming out of the vents. When we collected her it was on max!!! On passenger side and 26 on drivers side! We turned it straight down.

There is blowing hot and blowing like I’m having a hot flush. Never had this happen in any of the other cars we have owned including other Skoda’s.

This may seem like a really stupid question. Set climate control to 18 (like a cool car) as we always did in our old quashqai and the karoq just blew out hot air. How on earth do I get it to blow more chilled air? It was like an oven

We have had a quashqai for last 4 years. Still miss our fabia vrs what a car he was. Didn’t quite fit all the kids and all their stuff though. we are travelling 1.5 hours away to pick her up now to decide a name. are we the only mad ones that name our cars

Panaromic roof pretty wheels pretty led light pretty wheels wlectric boot liked the stitching on the seat and the pretttY wheels all for 10 a month less than the sel. our core requirements were heated seats and reversing camera and both specs came with that.
