Even without autohold on, the car will still hold itself on a hill for 2-3 seconds before releasing the brake - it is called hill hold assist. As I like the creep function of an auto I never use autohold and find that the hill hold assist is sufficient. On the RPM question with the foot on the brake and going into and out of drive, the revs don't change but you can feel the release of the slight drag when you put it into neutral. Strangely I have noticed that if the car is doing a regen and idling at about 1000rpm, I can't feel the change when going from drive to neutral.

I have this but have only used it once. The reason I got it was because it added parking additional sensors which are very useful.

I looked at the Mazda 6 when buying the superb and the dated dashboard was one of the main things that put me off, that looks like a vast improvement. The other thing was the sound system - although it claimed to be a Bose system, the sound quality was awful. My car is two and a half years old and I have a 5 year warranty so hoping that gets me somewhere close to the Mk4 release.

Same here, I am not a fan of the progressive indicators, think they are less noticeable. Overall I am a bit underwhelmed by what I have seen so far of the facelift, I know its only a facelift but it seems to be only new front and rear bumpers, with very little change even to those. I would be more interested to see when the series 4 is due. New headlights certainly aren't enough to change a car for.

Mine does it with the personalisation both on and off.

This is what I thought the answer would be but I notice they say it has to be recalibrated rather than might need to be. As with others on here I have had wheel alignment done at a local garage without any issues. Guess it depends how far out it is.

I have exactly this same fault - it won't stay in the lowest position. I took mine to the dealer who said they had seen this before and the car needed a software update. They did this and it is exactly the same. When I showed them the problem, we then tried to 2 other cars in the showroom and they did the same also so they said they would refer it back to Skoda. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard back yet. I am pretty sure mine only started doing this after a service about 9 months ago when they told me they also did a software update on the car as part of a recall which was something to do with a battery drain issue (which I didn't have).

I have noticed exactly the same, only rarely but a couple of times. Enough to make sure you keep a close eye on what its doing.

Yes, I had noticed that but didn't add it to my original post as I didn't want to load to with too much information. Whilst I gave the figures for the 190 DSG (which is what I have) the 150 TDi also has a lower top speed and slower 0-62 mph time than before.

perhaps and I wondered this but given the speed that the DSG changes gear it should account for 7/10ths slower plus, if this is the case, what is the advantage of the 7 speed over the 6 speed?

Thanks but if you follow that logic wouldn't you expect the 7 speed 190 to be quicker to 62mph rather than slower?

The RPM that max torque and bhp are achieved at are the same for 2106 and 2019 models. I did wonder if the 7th gear affects the top speed, but by this much?

It seemed to me that there are 2 options - either the original figures are wrong or the vehicles/engines have changed perhaps in relation to WLTP but they are still quoting the same power output so this hasn't been reduced as a result of WLTP and the car's weight has only gone up by 20kg - not enough to reduce performance figures by this much. My guess is that the original figures weren't correct. I very much doubt I would get a definitive answer to this even if I raised it with Skoda UK, just posted it as it interested me once I noticed it.

I wondered about this but as far as I understand it WLTP is a different/more accurate way of measuring MPG rather than specifically affecting a cars performance. Can't see how it would affect top speed etc particularly as engine power has not been reduced.

Hi, Whilst bored I was looking at the specs of the new Superb's and noticed that they have slowed down. I compared a TDi 190 DSG SEL Exec Est from my 2016 brochure to the current brochure online and found:- Top speed was 146 mph, now 139 mph 0-62 mph was 7.7s, now 8.4s Only mechanical change I am aware of for the 190 DSG from 2016 to now that might affect things is the change from 6 speed to 7 speed DSG. Kerb weight has only gone up by 20kg - certainly not enough to explain the above differences. Wonder what has made the differences - although there is the constant desire to improve emissions, engine power is stated as the same.

Yes, they stay live even with the ignition locked and car off so you have to be careful not to get a flat battery. I used the cable below which has a parking mode switch and also cuts off at low battery voltage. Plugs straight into the obd port. Whilst this is blackview, think it would work for any make if you just cut off the connector on the end and put whatever one you need on - the cable itself is just 2 core. looking at the response from Skoda, while it says it is required, it doesn't explain why. Could you go back to them?

I have had 4 wheel alignment done and no issues with ACC but it only needed minor adjustment, I can imagine if it needed more than minor and/or they don;t keep the steering wheel straight (mine is not quite straight now but very close to it) it might affect ACC and the detection of cars in other lanes as it might think you are heading in a slightly different direction?

Hi, slightly off topic but how would you compare the Superb to the E Class. Just wondering as I am thinking of an E Class Estate for the next car but bit concerned that I would be paying much more just for the badge. Thanks.

Do you want leather seats which I presume the L & K has but the SEL doesn't? I went for a SEL as I didn't want leather. Plus 35,000 less miles and a year newer would sway me.

2.0 TDI 190 DSG, always get around 45, mix of town and motorway driving. For info, I rarely use stop/start.
