  1. LOL at this..............surely it depends on how bright it was on that day? A clear red hot sunny day will surely let in more light than an overcast day will it not?
  2. BIG thumbs up to CAMSKILL! As i was near that neck of the woods i decided to pop in and ended up with 4x Eagle f1 assys 225/45/17. About £95 fitted (each) It is amazing what a difference a fresh set of boots make. Enjoying the car again! Thanks to everyones suggestions.
  3. i am near wimbledon (morden) the tyre is used, now im running 225/45
  4. If anyone wants a free tyre (205/50/17) conti 2 with about 6-7 mm throughout let me know. Collection only. Neilg
  5. Sorry, its in Carlise.
  6. Hi there, just wondering if anyone had any experience of this garage? Taking my mk1 vrs for a service on Saturday. Good or bad? Regards, Neilg
  7. Hi guys, please recommend me some decent tyres for my Octavia vRS? Whats hot at the mo. Regards, Neil.
  8. NOT IMPRESSED. Took VRS to them for warranty work with electrical problems. Some eight days later unable to fix it fully. State 'we need a new wiring loom which we dont have and have to order in. You can collect the car but we'll just disable the key fob locking mechanism' Re-book later when we have the part' Not once have they offered a courtesy car! 0/10 customer service.
  9. Thanks Timo. Does it make any difference i bought it used from a Subaru garage?
  10. If my 05' plate Octavia is getting fixed under warranty (2-3 days) should i expect Skoda to give me a courtesy car? Do they have to? Cheers.
  11. Octavia sending me mad. Not impressed. One month into ownership. First thing i noticed the front near side window would open when i turned the car off. Got around that by opening the door, closing window, killing ignition, shutting door. Now when i left the car, locked it as normal and returned... ALL the windows were fully open. You can imagine how impressed i was today (totally pi55ing down) All the buttons seem fubarred, the front electric button operates the back offside window, one window operates with the use of the heated mirror function! and my rear offside wont close at all! (now covered in bin bag). Anyway you get the idea. The car is an 05 plate (under warranty) but didnt expect this from a usually reliable motor. My saxo gave me no problems in four years! Just posting this as its obviously an electrical fault but has anyone else had anything similar? Will i be covered by SKODA assist? unsure as its a used car? Will the AA be able to fix it or is it a dealer job? Regards Neilg.
  12. Thanks guys, but on a long m/w journey i think i would tire of this quite quickly! I understand it must be a case of TADTS (after a search on this forum!), but if it can be fixed i'd rather fix it! Who can sort it? (Skoda being my first choice (WARRANTY) )
  13. Just bought an Mk1 05' black magic Octavia vRS, 14,000 miles, not bad for
  14. Going to look at a 55 plate Fabia (no 06 stutter!) at a local Skoda dealer although it doesn't have cruise control (a must for my long journeys london to newcastle) i take it any dealer will be able to retro fit at a cost? I want cruise, xenons, multi-CD. Leather would also be nice but where is the company that do this based and what are they called? any price idea for full black leather? Regards, Neilg Looking forward to pxing my Saxo VTS!
