  1. Cheers for the advice. I’ve fitted the back and one of the fronts. The other side has WD40 all over it for tomorrow. I took it to a garage and and asked them to loosen a few bolts. The bloke said you don’t need to take the driveshaft out the hub or drop the bottom arm, but I did both. Took the steering knuckle off completely and then fitted it to the coilover before installing that to the car. A lot easier hammering downwards than upwards
  2. So started doing the fronts and can’t get the pinch bolt to budge at all with a 600mm breaker The ball joint on the end of the anti roll bar just spins. It has a spline hole in the end but can’t get a spline bit in because it’s all mangled for some reason. Any advice? Take it to a garage and see if they will loosen stuff off? Just get them to fit them for me? Ask if they can fit them while I help/watch?
  3. I’ve read a few posts on various forums and have seen conflicting information. I’m fitting coilovers to my car as 3 of the springs are snapped. What do I need other than coilovers? As far as I can tell for the back I’ll need the old bumpstops and the tubes which go over the rear dampers No idea what I’ll need for the front as I’ve not taken that end apart yet. I’ve read I may need top mount bearing and something else from that end? Is what’s on there compatible? Cheers
  4. Ok, so mine's a 57 plate and has done 95k miles. It feels pretty planted, but I've not much experience with different cars. Last car was a Passat estate which was like a boat around corners, so this feels far superior. What would you recommend replacing and how do I know if it needs doing?
  5. Hello, Bought an Octavia VRS estate a couple of months ago. Read online that the best bang for your buck modification is a rear anti roll bar. Can't find any recent posts on this, so anyone know of anywhere I could currently get a kit and any kits you'r specifically recommend? Also, is It worth doing the front and rear, or just the rear? And presumably it's really easy to fit... Just a couple of 10 year old rusted to f*** bolts to undo. Cheers

  7. Hello, I'm about to service the missus' car. I can't find online anywhere how much oil the engine takes. It's a 2008 1.2, 3 cylinder. Anyone have any idea? I've bought 4 litres. Also, I can't for the life of me find where the pollen filter is. Anything else I should know before starting? Thanks guys.
