  1. Alright Andy give me a chance I am new to this site.
  2. Thanks Pembo! I followed your advice and it has cured the problem. Cheers.
  3. Hi all, I have a problem that has just started with the front passenger side electric window. When you press the switch to wind the window up as soon as it fully closes it will automatically wind itself all the way back down. When you press the switch to wind it up again it is fine until the next time the window needs to be wound up again. Any ideas what could be causing this? I have a Y plate 1.9 tdi Comfort. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi, Does anyone know what type of bolt is used to attach the driver's and passenger's seat to the floor? I have a Y plate 1.9 Tdi. It is not a type that I have ever seen before. I have managed to remove the bolts using an 8mm allen key - but is there a tool specifically for this bolt? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
  5. I supplied the shocks. The company I bought them from said they would not be covered by a guarantee as it has been proved that they were damaged by the garage who fitted them and not a manufacturing fault. I will go back to the garage again and if they don't play ball I think I will take ktea88's advice.
  6. Hi, I had the rear shock absorbers changed on my Fabia 1.9 Tdi in December as one of them had a fluid leak. I thought nothing more about it until I took the car for its MOT test earlier this month and it failed on severe fluid leakage from the rear shocks. I couldn't believe it as they were only 5 months old. I sent them away to the manufacturer and they returned them with a letter stating that the cause of the leak was due to the fact that they were fitted with molegrips or a similar device. On closer inspection you can clearly see the marks. I went back to the (independent) garage that fitted them and they have denied using molegrips and therefore would not be taking responsibility. I have all the paper work to prove that it was the garage that fitted them. Any suggestions as to what I can do now? Thanks.
  7. Ever since I have owned my Fabia the clock and milometer are permanently on even when the key is removed from the ignition and the car is locked. Is this normal and if not is they any way of fixing it?
  8. Just passed 120k on my Y plate 1.9 Tdi Comfort
  9. My Y reg 1.9 Tdi Comfort has 118k on it and is still pulling nicely.
