Is there anything else that can be coded using OBD 11?? once I get my Kodiaq I may look into getting a few bits switched on...
-
Drove mine today for the first time, quite surprised by the ride quality with the 20’ rims, it’s far smoother than our current 18 plate xtrail that’s on 18’s! Noticeably better. got a nice surprise also as dsg paddles on the wheel now standard on the MY19 sportline. I thought they were an option as the configurator had it down as an add on as far as I knew. hopefully taking delivery later this week, if not late next week.

I’ve been thinking about getting the running boards...any idea how much they are?? not throwing in the bars...I don’t really like them I prefer the Thule wingbars as they sit much more flush and look way better.

Picking up my black sportline next week hopefully. Brand new 2.0TDI 150 DSG cant wait. Pic attached of it currently sitting in the showroom.

Fuel tank only takes 40 litres
vRSmiked replied to Fgwdriver's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
If your car drives ok with fuel in it then I'd say jus keep puttin fuel in and driving it.....if you really want to test it then drive till it runs out...I guarantee you'll get 50 litres in it no problem at all....might not be able to start the thing like but that's up to you! -
Thanks for update Banjaminion, I suggest the above tool is probably the most likely option in that case....

These are the only kind of keys that can get past the physical locking mechanism.. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l5M_tX7LNj4 Obvs this shouldn't bypass the alarm but we are purely speculating here as the OP has not said if he has KESSY or not....I believe that if the keys are within decent proximity the car will unlock if you touch the handle....has anyone tried this where the car is parked close to the house and keys may be close enough to lock/unlock car?? I haven't got KESSY.....don't trust/like it anyway. This photo attached is of some of the liberty tools which belong to my mate who is a locksmith...they work pretty slick but not been tried on any modern vag cars...I'm tempted to see if they work on my 66 vrs....

Mine same...66 plate vrs tdi also...

New cupra ST will be 300hp. 4wd and dsg only

If mother VAG is allowing this then why not push it skodas way too?? I imagine all the 'performance' cars from VAG have their die hard followers...so can't see it makin too much difference sales wise.... And imo I very much doubt they would drop the VRS....but then again you never know! -

Car pulls along at idle speed
vRSmiked replied to Isocrem's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
It's due to the torque of the engine....I believe! It's great in the jams being able to crawl along in 1st without the constant need to dip the clutch in and out..... -
Well as expected the sticky mounts keep comin off the rear window and looked crap anyway so managed to use one of the spare metal clips for the side windows and it's absolutely solid....keeps the blind held right up to the trim too.
-
+1 Shades was my only option really as I'm in a pch and only have the car two years...the costs for tints also the fact I'll have to remove them (was told this by the dealer) before car goes back was the reason I opted for cheaper and easily removable option of blinds. Much prefer tinting tho...!
-
Got these today, fitted in 10 mins no bother that included giving the rear window a good clean before hand to remove any grease/moisture etc. So the job very well and are very secure...not as dark as I thought they would be but I don't have factory tints so I can live with that. Good value in my opinion at 99 euros and came from Czech Republic in 4 days....thumbs up to super skoda!

Any primer from Halfords will match....

Skoda Superb III 4x4 280 - A sleeper’s journey – 280ps to 560ps
vRSmiked replied to superbtte's topic in Superb Projects
That looks brilliant... -
Ahh right nice1...I've got some rubbing alcohol I use to clean the inside of my windows, gets them completely grease and streak free so will see how the clips adhere to that for now.cheers Mike
-
Thanks Dan, I'll wait too see what the quality of the fittings are like first...do they stick to plastic surround or the window?
-
Have you sorted this yet mate?? I've just ordered the super skoda blinds and hoping the mounting clips hold them in place....might just try the gorilla tape from the start....??

Fuel Consumption on new VRS
vRSmiked replied to SalimShady04's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I drove to work today and got 50mpg in my VRS diesel. Honest!! LOL -
What's the estimated increase in power/torque with that programme?? And how smooth is power delivery?
-
What stage are you running and did you notice any significant increase in mpg?
-
Excellent that's good to know. From what I can see the stage 1 does give good increase in mpg as well as a little more power so it's worth considering. I certainly don't intend to do this in order to thrash the car but a little more power underfoot be nice....
