  1. Heh, if you've never had anyone in the back I suppose it might be harder to figure out. I had my wee girl's car seat buckled in pretty much from day one and thought it was pretty cool

  3. The rear facing seat (RFS) is still the better option, even taking into account the possibility of a rear end collision. The forces your little one will be subjected to are not going to be the same as a front end collision with a front facing seat. As a front end collision is more likely, and a RFS is much MUCH safer in that scenario you should sleep soundly knowing RFS is the best option on balance.
  4. Definitely pronounced Shkoda, with the o sound like 'Bob' rather than 'toe'. Jusht a thought. I think it'd be shuperb if they got Sean Connery to do the narration for all their TV ads.
  5. Hi Neil. Fáilte. I don't think you'll regret ordering one, even if you're not much into the steel cages.
  6. £300? The option for a spare wheel is just £100. I can't believe adding it afterwards costs three times that?
  7. I was going to post the same thing. These things are subjective but it feels much faster than what I thought an extra 30 ponies would.
  8. Definitely worth the wait. My MkII vRS died and I was driving a banger while waiting on the car. I was getting impatient too. You must've ordered your's not long after me. I ordered mine mid-March with an expected arrival date of mid-June, and it finally arrived at the end of August.
  9. Definitely worth the wait. My MkII vRS died and I was driving a banger while waiting for the car to arrive. I was getting pretty impatient too. You must've ordered yours not that long after me. I ordered mine mid-March with an expected arrival of mid-June, and finally picked it up at the end of August
  10. Did you get yours from Mervyn Stewart in Boucher Rd? Mine was the first one they'd had in, and they were disappointed they didn't get a shot before I picked it up :-D No idea about numbers from other dealers in NI.Mine took over 5 months from the order date. Did you get yours any quicker?
  11. Ok, I apologise. The OP says 30mpg, which is easily achievable. You seemed to question this
  12. 230 owner. My car has just been run in so I was nannying it a bit. So far the figures are: Long term >1000 miles, 33mpg Now, since the car has been run in I've been 'enjoying' it considerably more. With my last tank of fuel I got 35mpg with a mixture of driving and hard acceleration at times. So, 1963, you're talking out your anal sphincter, my friend ????
