Hi all.
I've read this thread with great interest as we are about to order a Karoq 2.0 150 Tdi 4x4.
We live 18 miles up a Glen in the Cairngorms along a single track road. There is zero mobile reception until we are almost out of the Glen. We get snow and ice regularly in winter. Potholes frequently form deep enough to eat a tyre, especially a space saver.
For these reasons a tyre repair kit is hopeless. A conventional space saver, which Skoda will supply, is not much better. I want to carry a full 215/50 R18 spare instead.
If I don't order a spare of some sort I'll not get a jack or brace.
If I order the standard space saver I'll not have room for the full size wheel (or will I)?
What wheel and tyre should I order and can anyone recommend a supplier.
Can I fit a 4x4 "mud and snow" type tyre (to get the traction and the greater carcass strength)?
Any advice on how to go about it?
