Hi all,iv got a faulty infortainment system. Iv had it in to a specialist twice and after every software / firmware etc update and its cost me £150 to find out that the mib in the glove box is in need of replacement. Iv found some guys in Leeds that can do a replacement with everything mine has plus android auto which runs with my original screen but they want £440 ! Has anyone got a more cost friendly answer to a replacement? I can see a few units on ebay but they look like cheap Chinese units and I'm worried they won't work aswell as my original unit. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Hi all, so iv just picked up this Octavia and the infortainment keeps restarting over and over. iv already done some reading and watched some vids but I cant seem to find the actual cause of the problem ? If I reset the unit by pressing and holding the power button it seems to cure the issue 9 times out of 10 for the rest of my journey only for it to start and the next time I start up the vehicle. My unit says Columbus on the front and on the back it says Alpine 5e0919606. I dont mind buying a new screen but would like to know if that is actually the problem ? The previous owner mentioned about software for the sd card in the glove box but iv no idea about that Any info would be greatly appreciated ! Many thanks

Hi everyone,I'm Chris from Blackburn in Lancashire. I recently sold my lovely looking 1 series BMW as I actually hated driving it ! It was twitchy and the gearbox was disgraceful! .. I spotted this striking blue Octavia for sale locally and iv fallen in love with it instantly, so nice to drive and has loads of factory extras to make it that more enjoyable!! The owner previous owner has pointed me this way so you guys may of already seen it but its new to me and I'm loving it ! Iv got a few bits that I want to do to it to make it myown over the next few weeks and iv got a gremlin in the infortainment system which I'll be seeking help with also.
