  1. Worked fine for me too. I then tried the same thing for my wife's VW GDT. The metafile from the VW website POI creator failed when I tried to load it. Replaced it with your Skoda metafile and it worked fine as well. Great job Rainmaker!
  2. Wow, that was a quick reply! Thanks again. Hope you having a great Christmas too.
  3. Thanks, Rainmaker, great guide. One question. The PersonalPOI download has three subfolders, MIB2DE, MIB2HIGH and MIBTSD. Each of these subfolders contains a metainfo2.txt file. Do you delete these and replace them with your Skoda version or leave them as there are?
  4. I agree with SandalSteve. I alos have it on my series III L & K 4x4 estate. I also have the auxiliary heating option which is available in Italy. I have a lot of early starts and the auxiliary heating is great. Just press the remote 30 minutes before departure (or you can program it to start at a specific time) and you have a nice warm car to get into and a heated engine. Makes a slight noise though. A sort of low level hum. So is my heated screen a waste of money? No. If I'm away on a trip, and do not have the car within the remote range, at a hotel for example, the heated screen is wonderful. Clears everything in about a minute whilst you use the ice scraper, or de-icer spray, to clear the other windows. IMHO worth every penny.
  5. Please ignore the previous post regarding wheel size. Going for the 19" Phoenix after reading Forum discussion on wheel sizes. Thanks guys.
  6. Hi Colin, Thanks for the welcome. Nice Italian. Do you know what the ET size is for the L & K wheels? We get a crap option here in Italy (only my opinion) for the 18" wheels and I have read that the 4x4's do not get on well with the 19" rims. I'd ask on the forum but as a newbie I think that I'm still restricted to this section of the forum. I'll use the standard rims for the winter tyres and look elsewhere for the 18" summer rims.
  7. Hi Superb 170, thanks for the welcome. Going for a diesel L & K estate, 4x4, in Business Grey Metallic.
  8. Hi everyone, I live in Tuscany and bought a 1 year old VW Group Superb II Estate just over a year ago. Having driven many cars over the years I could not believe how good the Superb is. I've put some 45,000 km on the clock, without a single problem, and am about to order a new Superb III estate this week. I drive all over Europe and go as far north as Norway and Sweden and as far east as Hungary. I've been following the forum for the last few weeks and have found so many useful answers to my questions. I hope that I may also be able to help others the same way. Speak to you soon. Mike.
