My 1.0 TSI SE estate with a few extras arrived at the dealer today. Even got a chance to see it as I was in signing registration and finance documents. Ordered week 35, built week 41, will be mine on Saturday, week 44.

I'd be interested too. Will be happy to share my consumption data when it finally arrives. Got told it was built 18 days ago, but still no sign of delivery.

I hope you're not mad, I've got one on its way. I loved the test drive. It surprised me, but then my old dear departed C4 didn't give it much to beat. Glosrich is quite right though, if your budget can stretch to it, the 1.4 is meant to be a lot more fun. Plus you can then access the SE sport and SE tech specs which offer better value on certain extras. My wallet refused to let me test drive the 1.4, otherwise I'm sure I'd be getting the 1.4 SE sport. I hope that 20% discount is a bit of an overestimation though, I was nearer the 10% mark through carwow with mats and a full tank added on top of that.

As someone who has a brand new current style Octy on its way, I'm glad that the all responses to that so far are disparaging. I'm not so sure on the looks, definitely not feeling jealous though, but I'm more concerned that there might be more standard kit on offer on the facelift model.

Thank you for the welcome. The Octavia has some tough tasks to live up to that need to improve from the C4. Did they bother to move the bonnet release when converting to RHD? Ditto for the tyre pressure reminder? Or do I need to look for 20 minutes before I check the passenger side. Is the glovebox handle made from a material with structural integrity that surpasses balsa wood? That sort of thing. I'm a hard man to please.

Hello everyone. Thank you for letting me join this forum, I'm sure it will be invaluable to me. After years of saving and scrimping, suffering such pains as a second hand Fiat Punto and quirky old Citroen C4, I am due to take delivery of a brand new Octavia in November. 1.0 TSI SE. Very excited.
