  1. Thank, so you just pull it straight out? I dont want to damage anything.
  2. Hi, My mirror is damaged, how difficult is it to replace the glass and is there a guide? http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-original-Skoda-Autoas-exterior-mirror-glass-heated-LEFT
  3. Turns out that my fusebox is next to the steering wheel, behind the small compartment since its LHD. A lot easier to access!
  4. How? I see no such option in my Columbus.
  5. Is the lighter powered with the ignition off? Dont want it draining the battery if i take the power from that circuit breaker.
  6. Great news, i had no idea. Just got the car. Thanks!
  7. Hi, Is there any 12v power source near either footwell that could be used for a dash cam? I don't want a power cable running from the lighter between the shifter. It should only be powered with the ignition on. I don't mind cutting some cables but what i don't want is to take too much of the interior trim off.
  8. Hi, If i buy my own UNIConnect cable and flash back a stock firmware onto the ECU before it goes to a VAG shop, will they still figure out it has been "chipped" and flag it TD1? What i know so far is that there is an ECU flash counter and that the TD1 flagging is automatic by the diagnostic software in connected shops since 2013. What i dont know is if the TD1-determination looks at flash counter + exact version or only if it is a genuine VAG firmware on the ECU by a simple checksum. Im thinking that they could have a database of all modifications and which exact firmware was flashed so even if you flash a slightly different but still stock firmware they could then detect that. UNIConnect cannot read the current firmware for backup purposes, i would be at the mercy of whatever stock version they have on their server. In other news: Is there any cable that will both read & write a 2017 vRS ECU firmware? I have an up to date VCP and it does not support reading the flash. 5G0906259C.
  9. Hmm i have a nice coiled mfa cable that i like but ill have a look for others, thanks. There is no software option or VCDS adaptation to disble USB data?
  10. Thanks, i will give it another go withthese tips in mind.
  11. No, its a 2017 vRS. It took several minutes to get to 2% so i canceled it for now. Can i just leave the update? Surely they cannot have designed an update process that takes 1+ hour and requires you to wait in the car..
  12. Hi, Can i lock and leave the car after starting the Columbus update? It seems like it will take a looong time to complete..
  13. The phone charges fine, the problem is that Columbus sees the USB device and uses that for music instead of the Bluetooth which connected first. I don't want to plug in 12v chargers in a brand new car which has a USB port.
  14. Hi, I have a Columbus head unit in a 2017 Octavia vRS. My iPhone 7 is paired up with Bluetooth. When i start the car i wait for Bluetooth to connect, then plug in usb to charge. The music starts if i hit play after connecting bluetooth but stops when i connect usb. I have to restart it and lose the phone functions. Is there any way to have usb only charge the phone and not take over the whole connection?
