  1. Hi All, I've not had much interest, have I priced it too high ? Or wrong time of year to sell ?
  2. Have finally put mine up for sale if anyone is interested https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/skoda-octavia-vrs-tsi/1318952045
  3. Thanks dunc69, it has almost every option !.. I did wonder that, as couldn't find any within 60 miles or more with the same spec . ! As mentioned above it's not missed beat !
  4. Had 32k when I bought it, I've done 22k in the last 2 years
  5. I bought it from a main Skoda dealer 2 years ago for 15k, touch wood, but not a single thing has gone wrong with it in those 2 years !
  6. Thanks, Autotrader quoted 12k, good condition private sale
  7. Hi All, I'm looking to sell my VRS TSI 2014, and wanted an idea of private selling price would be ?, it's in race blue, full leather, black pack, all the gizmo including park assist, largest screen infosystem with DVD, hdd storage etc... ! Thanks
  8. Also, looking at the code it looks like the columbus is manufactured by Alpine !
  9. I'm not sure if newer versions of code looses the FM radio ?
  10. I picked up an 18in space saver wheel with tool kit (for a vw) for £25, the wheel looks fine, though i may need the correct jack ?
  11. I maybe missing something, but since the latest update on my columbus if I select new destination, I can't see an option for a postcode !?
  12. I have Tesco, Shell or Esso within a half mile radius, so am spoilt for choice!
  13. It does say minimum 95 RON on the petrol cap, so yes. It may just be highlighting an issue ?
  14. It certainly runs smoother with 99 ! , am hoping mpg may improve a little too
  15. I've had my vrs tsi for about 2 months, and have always filled up using tesco 95 RON. Since I've had it acceleration between 1500 and 2500 rpm was a bit ropey, hesitant sometimes, and just assumed it was either my driving style, traction control or the ecu.. I put Tesco 99 RON yesterday, and I no longer experience the ropey acceleration !.. so can only assume the grade of fuel played a part in this. Anyone else experience this ? I may even try shell V-Power to see how the car responds to that !
  16. I had a 190bhp tdi, don't miss the torque either, though TBH then 220 tsi has a fare amount of torque through a large portion of the rev range, and keeps pulling hard right upto 6-7k rpm !
  17. I have to admit my vrs tsi is growing on me !, my previous car was a leon FR+ TDI, had it for 11 years, was remapped and was dynamic and fun to drive, and yes I loved it. The Occy is, or feels like a more grown up car ! Has way more features and tech than I was ever used to !. I love the tsi, having had a tdi for so long, having a fast petrol again is rejuvenating
  18. Are the lowered springs suitable with the stock dampers fitted ? If not could cause instability in your setup and suspension won't track correctly ? I may be totally incorrect though !
  19. Thanks everyone, I had the family in the car at the time, and the Mrs told me to calm down, it's only a wheel ! Lol.. which to be honest is true.. I may try and rub it down a bit to make other less obvious, and may even try a diy touch up ! .. though never down the acid clean bit
  20. They're Gemini ones which I believe are diamond cut :(
  21. Feeling gutted, have damaged almost one half of my vrs wheel rims today ! :(.. went round a corner too sharply, and scrapped along a curb !.. from the sound you just knew it was bad.. only had car 6 weeks. I feel sick ! Annoying that the tyres fitted didn't have rim protection which may have helped a little. What's my options ?
