  1. Hi thanks for this thread. I got my rear middle seatbelt stuck after messing I must be that person who has to press the button that says do not press... anyway on the Fabia you take off one of the side white plastic covers and there's a very simple but effective mechanism which is a ball bearing in a plastic hammer which locks the toothed wheel. After seeing how it worked I think you could use gravity to unlodge it. I tried this before dismantling but didn't get anywhere. Anyway thanks couldn't or wouldn't have figured it out with this thread.
  2. Those seats look way way way better than the stock cream ones. (cream seats in a black interior stick out like a sore thumb). I'm going to keep my eye out for a set from a 5 door A1 sport and have fun fitting the rear seat I'd loose the heated option tho :( I guess you could retro fit heating pads but I'm not going through all of that. - I need to figure out how they made those speaker covers for the 6.5" woofers. I had to space my woofers out so mis the windows, I put sound deadening in which does help, keeps sound sound in the cabin and the outside sound out also reduces the metal panel vibration. The speakers I went for are the Focal PS 165 FX which sound amazing, pricey but I figured I could keep them and move them from car to car or sell them. (I wasn't happy with the sound until read about audio/sound processing for time alignment and slight eq'ing. So rather than going out and buy an Audison Bit Ten from Ebay for around £150 I bought a £15 JBL MS-2 which quickly sets the time alignment out and puts in some basic EQ. It does sound a little artificial but I would recommend them. Anyway the seats look very nice, good job!
  3. I'd love some of those in mine, grey seats and black everything else doesn't quite go. I presume those seats would be heated being from a fairly high spec'd car? Anyway I look forward to seeing how you get on fitting them, when I moved my leathers over from my 4motion Golf into a Leon the airbag connector was the same but the Leon didn't have the heated seat option so had to get a retro fit harness and find somewhere to put the heater switches. Loving the thread, my god you've done a lot of work! and in the cold too. * I need to go through mine and get it sorted. need to make a list :( Needs a turbo soon, not going to chance it! I'm not 100% sure if I need a CV/Driveshaft but they will keep going just get noisy so that can wait. Going to renew the brakes over the weekend if the bits come. I can at least change the brake fluid, going to get a garage to renew the clutch fluid, I'll reindex the gear linkage, didn't need to do that on my 4motion or Leon they use the same gearbox, can't hurt tho (can it?) Then once the critical stuff is done it's suspension time thinking of going for a B12 kit (Couldn't come sooner). Then I'd like xenons, keep seeing all those new cars with blinding white headlights, if you can't beat them then join them.
