  1. Found it.. wire broke completely when I pulled the seal back. Bodged for min
  2. I was thinking that.. could be a remote power wire or something (like when you wire an old school headunit wrong ). will have a check tomorrow
  3. Got a bit of a weird one.. the drivers side window on my fab has decided it doesn't like to remember its one touch up and down setting! The passenger side is fine and works as should. If i reset the drivers side it works until i turn the ignition off. Any ideas??
  4. No problem, the sensor on the compressor is apparently a big pain to remove, so much so that people replace the compressor as a whole unit. I hope your problem is the wiring
  5. Hi, No I got to mine from underneath the car. Got the car on a ramp and removed the undertray. The plug is behind the big hose and it's easier to remove the hose to get to the plug.
  6. Found my problem, there is a green plug under the battery (near) it had 4 wires.. only one was attached. :( all fixed now
  7. TMC box ending soon on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TMC-Motorsport-Tuning-Box-1-4TSI-For-Skoda-Fabia-VRS-Seat-Leon-VW-Polo-GTi-/222564142224?hash=item33d1db4c90:g:DFEAAOSw8GtZVXfk
  8. my fans are on when the aircon s switched on..
  9. I have exactly the same issue.. mines going to skoda under extended warranty
  10. They have been in since the service in January. The car hadn't been driven for 2 days before I took them out today.. and all 4 had same gap at around 0.84mm.
  11. right.. plugs done today. sooo easy the second time round! The OEM ones that skoda fitted on the service have been photo'd and measured.. all came out to a loose 0.84mm and were covered in yellow gunk?? pics to follow. @Awayoffski what u think?
  12. @Binzie I thought you may have sold up as you hadn't been on here for a while..
  13. @Binzie didn't get the quote but I now own the same one you did.. sounds like it's been through quite a few people lol. Just had the bridge plug delivered as well as it was missing that.
  14. cheers, they seemed a very very tight 0.8 out of the box, i will try and close them in a bit
  15. just checking my new plugs george @Awayoffski what gap should they be for denso's? 0.8 or 0.7?
  16. i will check em when i replace.. im running the box on setting 7, the same as most people do
  17. Just ordered 4 SKJ20CR-A8's from opie oils again.. £36 delivered TMC are insisting i send them the box to check map so i will prob do that as a precaution before running it again. I do intend to change the plugs now i know skoda put OEM ones back in tho
  18. Stick with the Denso's then im guessing
  19. at least one other owner, no issues with last owner afaik. Just a quick one as well george.. BKR7EIX or SKJ20CR-A8? I used the SKJ's before but just wondered what you think are best?
  20. @Awayoffski although its a black one, it is a genuine UK one, it has the adjuster 1-9 on the box and 3 connections to the engine.
  21. Managed to get my TMC box fitted after working out what plugs go where.. not made easy by someone removing the labels from the loom. I am however having some issues... i get constant misfires under load, I managed to get it to log the fault and got the EML on. This showed random misfires on CYL 1 & 3 (P0101 & P0103) and also weirdly C1555 fault? I have seen one other member who had the same problem but i can't find out if he fixed it (it was 2 years ago) The car is a 2011 CAVE that was serviced in Jan and Skoda replaced my plugs, even tho i asked them not to as i had just fitted Denso VK20 plugs! Car is always run on 99ron fuel and behaves normally without the TMC box fitted. Im stuck as to where to go from here, i may try and replace the OEM NGK plugs again and see if the Denso's improve anything. I have also messaged TMC and they have suggested sending the box to them to have it checked and make sure the correct map is on it... to me it seems like its massively over fueling and causing the misfires as its not as bad if you nail it from a standing start 0-60 style.. the box previously belonged to @Binzie so would be good to know how he got on with it but not sure if he's still around? any thoughts?? Cheers Damo
  22. Anyone got a wiring diagram for these boxes? Someone has kindly removed the labels from the loom and 2 of the connections are the same. Cheers
