  1. After further investigation, I think you're correct. It's pointing to the alternator pulley being at fault, although as the whole alternator was changed in May 21 (less than 2.5k ago also) I ruled it out.
  2. Found it - it's a Viscous clutch pulley that I require. Although finding one in the UK is hard work!
  3. Afternoon all, after replacing my belt and pulleys and tensioner earlier this year (approx 3k ago) I've developed a squeaking serpentine belt. The culprit is this guy circled in red, but for the life of me, I can't find it's official name - is it a pulley, roller, or something else? Ignore the wet belt, I used water to identify whether its was the belt or something else. You can see "half" of the belt is dry, i.e. making contact or slipping - hence why I think it's that guy who's failed. Engine is a 1.9 PD130 AWX. If you can help please do. If you can link a part also, even better! Cheers!
  4. Hello mate, this is easier than you think. Mine went earlier this year and replaced in approx 30 mins. I followed this guide: https://www.passatworld.com/threads/blower-motor-installation.278695/
  5. Finished and at home a couple of weeks back.
  6. Bike is almost finished - had some paint matching issues for the new fender (Colour is perfect, although the metal flake was more coarse). As it has custom writing on the side or the tank, going to spray the "top surface" and blend into the sides and clear coat all again - will tie in the newly painted fender with the 5 year old painted tank. Just a bit of spraying/touching up on the engine, small fuel leak (coming from fuel filter so easily rectified) and some polishing to be done and it'll be ready to ride again!
  7. Exhaust fabricated, just needs a securing mount at the rear with a rubber bush to help dampen vibrations and prevent it from cracking etc (especially as a V Twin, and Hard Tail). Few small bits of welding, little bit of wiring, tidying and paint and she'll be back to it!
  8. Not going to lie, pretty uncomfortable but it's not a cruiser or touring bike for sure! I usually can do a hour or two on the saddle before getting off for a few minutes leg stretch - all depends on where I'm riding!
  9. Additions to the bike: - 18g fender / mudguard with rolled and wired edges, small duckbill and centre ridge. - Sissy bar (in line with handlebar risers, so not too tall / out of proportion). - Hard tail. - Electronics and integrated battery box. All has been hand made, no mass production or machines, all by hand using a hammer, welder, English wheel etc. New exhaust is being fabricated too, as the old was a pig to remove again.
  10. For info / future... My issue turned out to be the following: Driver's door membrane (recently changed regulator). Sunroof drains - they were clear, although the two front pipes were detached from the rubber bung in the door. Meaning water would just pool into the car and not overboard. The rear sunroof drain attachment to the sunroof unit were leaking and not a firm seal. Hopefully that's the end of my water ingress issues for a while!
  11. For information - my pollen housing seal, ECU and Bonnet grommet are all good, the water isn't coming from here. After a downpour today, notice water coming through the door seal as below on both front doors - will seal up the window motor / regulator carrier with silicone tomorrow and see if that works!
  12. Just put my finger through the drivers ventilation (rear) and that's damp too... Brill! Looks like I'll need to do some investigation!
  13. Unfortunate to say I have a very wet underlay in passenger rear footwell (and front due to slope of driveway). After leaving my car to sit on a slightly rearward slope for approx 3 months over the winter (away with work) I returned to notice my boot and glovebox light stopped working. Yesterday after feeling through the rear ventilation vent, I decided to pull the carpets. Found evidence of corrosion on wiring and hoping this is the issue (seems plausible). CCM box was dry, wiring was wet but nil corrosion evident which is good. This is @Gizmoold Superb Edition 100, so the preventative maintenance you did almost 12 years ago seemed to do well for quite a while. Now to seal the pollen filter again, dry out the interior and hope it doesn't happen again!
  14. Was the blower motor. Got a new one from GSF for £30. Installation took approx 30 mins.
  15. Bikes having a bit of a makeover - hardtail, "fake" oil tank for electronics and battery, rear fender and sissy bar (small one).
