Plastic knurled headlight nut needed
scalefour replied to scalefour's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
When I said improvise I meant a washer and tape wound round, blue tak or even a small potato! Hmmmm! Beats me why you didn't approach a dealer in the first place. Being notoriously expensive, I thought maybe more expensive than ebay? -

Thanks guys. 60p + VAT from local Skoda dealer. I did try to improvise but out of all the 1000`s of nuts and bolts I have, none fitted. One of the previous owners had tried to glue the whole light fitting to the sliding plate housing. Did not work too well. -
Hi, As per title, are there any places online that sell these white plastic headlight retaining nuts as I have one missing and the local scrappys have not been much help.. Andy

Octavia 2 oil dip stick ... why black
scalefour replied to Shacky13's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Had the same problem when I checked for the first time the other week. I intend to cut up one of those white plastic coated net curtain wires to the same length as the dip stick, fashion a stop at the end so I dont lose it in the engine and try that. -
Strange detachable tow bar

Ok thanks, I will give it a lot more cleaning Andy -
Hi all, Has anyone any experience of this type of fitting. It seems quite rare having googled it. To start with it would`nt even go into the hole and neither would the handle lock. Got to work with a dremel to clear all the rust and crud from inside the tow bar, and its almost all of the way in but not quite. It goes in much further upside down and Im thinking, maybe it then twists 180 degrees upright as there does appear to be a locating lug in there. Maybe fits in the groove at the towbar end of the ball bar. But it just will not turn or go in any further. But before I really give it some hammer I thought I would ask here first. Regards Andi
