    Yeti Recall

I do wonder if Toyota are one of the few vehicle manufacturers who are most honest about recalls..? I'll be interested to see what my VIN pops-up when I finally get the Yeti back. In the meantime, the Fabia Redline courtesy car is quite good fun, albeit when I don't forget that I'm back in a manual!

    Yeti Recall

Thanks Offski - I'll need to check the Skoda website with the VIN, which I haven't got access to whilst the car is at the dealership. However, the gov.uk search resulted in the following: No outstanding safety recalls found There are no outstanding manufacturer's safety recalls for SKODA YETI P70XYZ

    Yeti Recall

Thanks for the responses. Yes mine has the AdBlue tank and I've just spoken with the dealer and it wasn't an emissions update, but a general safety-related software update. They are working through fixes provided by Skoda Technical, including physical wiring checks, etc. So far, no joy, but they are very good at keeping me informed. Worst case will be a replacement ECU...

    Yeti Recall

What's the fix/fail - is this the emissions thing? It's the 2.0 TDi engine with six speed DSG box.

    Yeti Recall

Hi - I took my Yeti Outdoor 2.0 TDi 4x4 into our local (and excellent) Great Yarmouth main dealer for a major service yesterday. They said that there was a recall notice on the vehicle for a software update. I foolishly didn't question this in terms of what the update was for and now assume it may be to do with emissions related to the whole VAG scandal thing. However, after applying the update, then reapplying and then reapplying again several more times, the tech guys found that not only had it not correctly applied, but now the Yeti was rendered immobilised. They were very good - superb customer service - and promptly provided me with another vehicle to use whilst they work on a fix... Has anyone else experienced this recently? Mine is an early 2016 2.0 Tdi 4x4 SE-L.
  6. I didn't look at the photo of the back of the vehicle... So yes, clearly a Photoshop job - and not a terribly good one at that. I certainly wasn't planning to actively go out and wade the Yeti, as I have previously done with my Defender. That is also a really interesting point regarding the float point of the Freelander - and most probably less so for the Yeti. No my question regarding the snorkel (and other protective water gear) was purely related to the rare moments when heading home the inbound lanes have flooded and short of getting wet feet to test the depth, some precautionary gear for the Yeti would be better... Now going to actually lift the bonnet and look at where the air filter sits ;-)
  7. Hi everyone I am new to Briskoda (my first post), but have already found it a very useful resource. I have owned my 2016 Yeti 4x4 DSG for just over two months now and I'm absolutely loving it! Having previously owned a Land Rover Defender and then a Mini Clubman, the Yeti gives me the best of all worlds; capable of tackling the Norfolk country roads and tracks confidently and then transporting me in absolute comfort and speed on longer road trips around the country. My question... My Defender was fitted with a snorkel and believe me, I did have need for this a times. Does anybody know if there is a company out there that provides snorkels for the Yeti? The following link (French website) shows a Yeti wearing a snorkel, but I'm not convinced that this is a Photoshop job..? http://www.supernovatuning.com/article-skoda-yeti-57651674.html Thanks, Michael
