  1. I’m currently fittings full darkside kit including egr delete. There is a lot of fettling to be done so I’d highly recommend a grinder/ air saw- a dremel will take you around 500 years to complete the install. It’s a quality piece of kit though and also includes a proper turbo connector. has anyone that already has a fmic and egr delete experienced a supercharger type noise under hard acceleration? I’ve double checked for boost leaks and everything seems spot on and the car pulls well.
  2. Yeah found that out so left it all in place! Will bypass it at a later date!
  3. Currently part way through my egr delete and fmic fitting. I’ve followed the guide in here and was wondering what happens to these two rubber hoses? Because if I remove everything then they will just be left to atmousphere
  4. Hi Rob. I’ve just fitted the AEM dry flow and get no induction noise and the car feels slower. Actually just sounds a little louder a bit like a van. Did you fit yours and have it mapped at the same time? And I’m guessing the induction noise might come when I fit my FMIC? Sorry to hijack just thought you might be the person to ask
  5. Lovely car mate excellent work and attention to detail. Where did you get the crinkle paint from and do you know how it’ll hold up against wear etc and not ‘chip’ off? I’ve recently got hold of a full darkside fmic kit and am looking to turn it black. Mess also wondering what rubber you’ve used on the cut out for your crash bar
  6. that’s the noise- defiantly trying to avoid that but I’m staying with a stock exhaust so it’s all good!
  7. Wow that sounds nothing like what I thought it would, sounds like my old Mazda 3 MPS. Think I might get one then, just wanted to make sure it didn’t make that noise most diesels do with intakes. Thanks for the vid
  8. Nice one cheers. When you let off does it make that daft noise that other intakes create? Like a high pitch ‘wooo’ sound?
  9. Not wanting to hijack your build thread but thought you might be in the know as you’ve done a lot of work. do you know if the darkside intake is any good? The one with the AEM filter. Im ashamed to say I’m just after a bit more induction noise and know that it won’t give me huge performance gains. I just wouldn’t want it to mess up the running of the car that’s all
  10. Just read from start to finish, fantastic thread mate well done for sticking with it. I know what it’s like to have tuning companies let you down and cost you big money. Would you recommend any special tools for the clutch and fly change? as I’m doing it myself in the near future
  11. It looks the part mate and no one would ever suspect what’s under the bonnet. Think I need to invest in a rarb for mine as it understeers like a pig- that’s with sympathetic cornering, good tyres and coilovers
  12. Just read this from start to finish- knackered but couldn’t stop. Love the car, fantastic work
  13. This is a long shot but to re coup some of your money would you sell the seats separately? I'm from heckington near Lincoln so could collect them
