My shortest drive is to and from work at 3 miles each way. Car usually warms up and shows a good average MPG. However after work if i go out it gets a good decent run.

And under which diagnosis have you determined that these are at fault? Far from being able to afford to run it or CRYING about it. I've brought it as a run around car to get me around until i buy another performance car. No point buying a car for good economy and it uses more than it should.

So the tank is virtually done maybe another 5/10 miles left. Its done 320 miles to £52 of fuel at 113.9 a litre.

Still on the same tank at the moment. I had run it right down to empty so 0 miles on the range. Done a full tank of regular diesel at a shell petrol station and squeezed in £52. 113.9 a litre. Done 230 miles so far and it is on the mark just under half. This has been eco driving everywhere. I'll keep running it down and see what it does to the tank.

Yeah all done mate. I've just give it a service this weekend and done a full tank. I'll see what sort of miles it does to the tank and come back and report.

Thanks for the replies. They are both the same year at 54. I'm going to give it a fresh service this weekend and when its due some fuel i'll do a full tank and try it from there. I'll do a tank of vpower diesel.

Just an update, my mate just checked his properly and it did 185 miles to £20

Tyre pressures have been adjusted accordingly and no binding brakes or dodgy wheel bearings. Nothing that i can see. It smoked a little when flooring it but not majorly just the amount you would expect. We done a 180 mile round trip a couple weeks ago. Sat at 80mph all the way took it steady 2 passengers and the most i got it up to was about 56mpg but averaged 51mpg over the whole trip

Sorry for the late reply, I'll check next time what the fuel prices are like here. I just usually go by the reserve light comes on put £20 in reset trip meter and see how many miles it does. My mates has a exhaust, decat, egr delete, panel filter and a remap by faboka also and his does around 160miles not taking it easy. When i fill up £20 usually the range will show 220 miles however it wont ever do that. He does similar sort of journies as me. I could understand if it was near enough same sort of figure but it seems fairly off as i can do 140 miles taking it easy and his will do around 160 not taking it easy. Any pointers where to begin with? Thanks

Hello guys, new to the forum and not recently got my fabia vrs. Car in question is a 2004 Fabia Vrs running a stage 1 faboka remap but standard bar that I was wondering if the consumption i'm getting is right. £20 of diesel gets me 140 miles max around town thats also taking it easy everywhere. A mate has one with far more mods and gets 160 miles not driving it easy. I have run a fault memory check and it hasnt logged any faults. I always use shell or bp fuel. Any ideas on where to start from? Thanks in advance
