  1. Your inference is correct the following Note is on P23 of the Media documentation "■ With more than 1,000 tracks in the folder only the first 1,000 tracks with the oldest creation date are displayed."
  2. Hi I've also got the camera. The image you see is related to the parking sensors telling you there is an obstruction. If you turn off the Parking Assist (P button to right of steering wheel) the image will disappear but you will have no P assist. It's up to you
  3. This is normal although you do get green lines showing the path of the rear wheels - you need the parking sensors to show on screen using different color sound wave images to show how close you are to objects.
  4. I've had the same error message pop up a couple of times. I think it was because I didn't shift the lever full to the "P" position. After putting it intro "P" switching ignition on a couple of times cleared it and I've had no further problems.
  5. You have to download the POIs in the root directory (not in maps) of your navigation card
  6. Agree this site is now defunct. But have had success with the Skoda Mydestinations tool on the update portal. However it only seems to work if you download the speed camera file from PocketGPS in the.GPX format. In fact this is more straight forward than the old German VW site.
  7. Voice Control was a £25 optional factory fitted extra on the SEL when I bought the car. There is a Chapter about it in the Amundsen Bolero Owners Manual. Basically it allows you to control radio, media, telephone and navigation. Works quite well for me and passenger can use it as well.
  8. Specified following extras on my SEL estate listed in order of usefulness to me: Proper spare wheel Rear view camera Adaptive cruise control Panoramic roof Accoustic front and rear sensors Sunset glass for rear Amundsen sat nav (more useful now I've got speed cameras loaded) Voice control Rear electric windows Variable boot floor Driver fatigue alert Simply cleaver package Also fitted Heko wind deflectors - really useful in all weathers and stops car misting up. Rear door and tailgate fitted sunblinds - useful to minimise heat when dog is in the car. Colour coded side protection strips - look nice and so far haven't noticed any dents yet but time will tell how effective they are. Viofo A119S dashcam - brilliant bit of kit, really small fits to screen behind rear view mirror and takes excellent quality videos.
  9. I ordered my car with ACC - it's brilliant, keeps a constant gap that you can set between you or the car in front. Brakes gently if someone goes in the gap and accelerates to maintain the gap. It's very easy to use on the road esp on motorways. Well worth it if you're ordering a new car
  10. Thanks I won't bother to download. Shame they don't give description on the portal
  11. Update portal shows 2 map updates ECE 2017/2018 which lists the countries for Europe. The 2nd update ECE 2 2017/2018 doesn't say what this is. Anyone know what the 2nd latest map update is and if it needs to be loaded with the former or by itself. Thanks for any help.
  12. Thanks for interest - MEDIA SOURCE only shows greyed out "navigation card". Sounds like it may be possible to activate SD2 will wait to hear.
  13. Hi thought I'd take the glovebox out and investigate the SD2 slot. I've got the Amusden navigation system so there is another SD2 slot below the navigation SD1 slot. It's possible to buy an SD card ribbon extension cable that I planned to route to a more convenient access point. However after inserting media card it didn't show up on the system. Does anybody know if the SD2 slot is deactivated on the Fabia or indeed if it can be activated.
  14. Just a point - I've found that I can't add customised POIs via the USB stick. They have to be added to the root directory of the original Amundsen SD card then they load ok. So I might have a look and see if I can access the 2nd slot for this application.
  15. Hi I had same problem. Using the hook for wheel trims tends to try and pull light cluster out at wrong angle for the locator pins. I invested in a set of plastic trim removal tools. I used the one shown and the attached pic. Inserted the broad hook end between the lamp cluster and the car body. Gently prise in up and down movement as you pull the lamp cluster back in your other hand. Hey presto it popped of with no problem. I've used this several times no problems no damage to paintwork. I also you silicone grease on the pins to facilitate later removals. Tools are available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Voche-Piece-Panel-Removal-Tools/dp/B01ITI9ZJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486647580&sr=8-1&keywords=car+body+panel+and+trim+removal+tool+voche Good luck
