  1. I can't wait to pass my test and get one!! (I'm nearly 40)
  2. Wasn't overly enamoured with the white Monte, but seeing yours on the track has changed my mind somewhat
  3. So thanks to the forum members again with their input It's a Monte Carlo not VRS It's a 1.2 petrol...not a 1.6 Diesel Now what colour??
  4. After my last post I think I'll end up choosing the Monte Carlo over the VRS as my first car So am I better off getting the 1.2 petrol or the 1.6 Diesel? Or am I not doing enough mileage to warrant getting a Diesel?? Once again thanks for all the help on my previous posts..
  5. Originally looked at a Citigo Monte Carlo, then a Fabia Monte Carlo and now I seem drawn to the Fabia VRS, and I haven't even passed my test yet...it's my first car so I'm not really sure how much mileage I'm going to do, I use my scooter for my 2.5 mile trip to work, and funnily enough the same back again, but then with a car I'll be taking my son to football on Sundays so that's 20-50 miles, then wherever else it might take me. I've looked at insurance and it ranges between £550-£1000 depending on the year, model and spec. So do I go balls out with a VRS or ease my way in with a Reaction or 1.2 Monte? Thanks...
  6. Saw this on Autotrader earlier, initially i'd only been looking for the 1.2 engine, but ran an insurance quote on this one....unfortunately i dont start my intensive driving course till January... fully comprehensive price was £713.17...from Tesco...not bad as it'll be my first car. (if/when i pass..aged 39...)
  7. Think I may have to keep I eye on this thread, the difference between a Monte Carlo and the Monte Carlo Tech is about £1500 on Autotrader, so this is a cheaper option..
  8. yeah saw them, ideally didnt want to pay for one, but thanks anyway
  9. call me old school, just wanted a paper one to read...
  10. Nice, i'm thinking black or red...and if they haven't got the new black and silver badges getting them too...
  11. Does anyone have the link to the 2012-2013 brochure that contains the Monte Carlo? Obviously they only have the new model brochure for download on the Skoda site.. thanks...
  12. These pictures are really wetting my appetite....can't wait to pass my test...
  13. I'm thinking of getting a 1.2 Fabia Monte Carlo when i pass my driving test (aged 39) ideally i'd like the Tech version, in either black or red...i posted in the Citigo forum, as that was the car i looked into first, but the extra seat, bigger engine and better looks have led me here... Can't wait...
  14. I was going to get a Citigo Monte Carlo when i'd passed my test, but now i seem to be leaning towards a 1.2 Fabia Monte Carlo...insurance wise there's not too much difference and depending on age, mileage there's not too much difference in price...i would prefer a Fabia with the new black badges, but i guess they could always be added later?? I'm 39 and ideally a 5 door car would be suited, and maybe 5 seats...(not sure really) with never have driven before i'm not sure who my passengers are gonna be, apart from my 13 year old son and me!! and maybe picking/dropping my sister and niece up (with car seat) or my mum and dad from the pub!!! hmmm??? decisions, decisions!!!!
