But the original is variable, and the fittings in the side of the car is missing if not ordered 'ab factory'. So if you do one yourself, it'll be something with some wood underneath for holding the plate up. Not very userfriendly.

I have been looking for this as well. It is an optional extra, and I forgot it when ordering. I Can not find an original after market on this. So I think, if the car isn’t made with it, then it’s just to bad.

Somebody in Denmark got a call from Skoda, and got issued this way to try an rectify it. (And it worked): + Update IOS to version 13.4.1 (newest) + On iPhone remove car from Carplay menu. + Put ignition on car while holding button on stereo, wait untill Skoda logo. + Press "Car" and toothwheel -> Factory Settings -> all and choose reset. + Press "Setup" , choose factory settings -> reset. + Remove key . + Put ingnition on car while holding button on stereo, wait untill Skoda logo + setup carplay again Not sure about the factory settings. Thats what its called in danish (fabriksindstillinger) (Translated from Danish, soo....)

Yes, but the same kan be said about the Rapid. Not much love there either :-) From the testdrives in a comparable Scala to the one I ordered, its quite a step up. And I can't wait to get the 2-zone clima. I like it hot, 21-22 celsius, the wife like it colder, around 18. So it always ends with me freezing, and the wife sweating. Hope the 2-zone works.

I will have one in the next couple of weeks (Velvet red). But I will be comming from a Fabia III. But they are rather alike, at least inside, the Fabia and Rapid. I will report back.

I ordered one at the local Skoda dealership. Cost me around 20 pound. 1.2 tsi 2016 model.

Considering the bad Danish kroner to British pounds Exchange rate, I would not recommend it right now.
