I'm with you on the power, I came from an Octy 170 DSG and was worried about going down to the 150 DSG on a bigger car but I needn't have worried, it actually feels a bit quicker. Delighted with the standard sound system too!

Slightly biased, I know, but Vauxhall anything vs Skoda? No, just no! We've got the latest Corsa on a dirt cheap lease as a second car and the build quality doesn't even come close. Wish I'd paid a tenner more per month and gone for the Fabia.

Having been in the trade for a number of years, I've seen the consequences of infrequent oil changes, particularly on VW family Diesel engines, most notably premature wear issues. It's for that reason that I've had mine set to time and distance instead of variable servicing.

I have the same engine/gearbox and whilst I've only done a 1000 miles, I can't relate to the noise you describe. Why don't you try another one at the dealer's?

Yeah, I would worry about the residual value of the green. In my experience, the more of an 'acquired taste' the colour is, the lower its value at trade in!
