  1. Anyone know any offers around at the moment on this? Local garage charging £137 to supply the unlock code.
  2. I did check the ground this morning and no leakage.
  3. It is indeed below the min line. Is this normal on a 9 month old car?
  4. Started car this morning with coolant warning light which was a surprise. Car is only 9 months old and done 8k. This is now a really dumb question, where do I look to see if it is actually low. Can I top this up myself? Should it be low on a 9 month old car?
  5. Finger prints on that new glass screen would annoy the hell out of me!
  6. No need to ring the dealer. This is completely normal. It will be a DPF re-gen running which when the engine is running, disables stop start and revs stay at 1000. If the engine is switched off, you will hear the fans and smell as it carries on if interrupted. Usually takes about 5 mins or so. Nothing at all to worry about You will hear of some people telling you to go on a long drive until it's finished but ignore this as it's not needed and designed to carry on if interrupted.

    new kodiaq

Nice. Shame about the completely illegal plate though.
  8. I would like to do this so they show on the car display. Any instructions?
  9. Shop around. I got my vRS diesel hatch with DSG, black pack, sunset glass for £20k brand new. I do get a good discount through work though but i've seen people manage to get similar deals without employer discount etc. I got a Salisburys loan at 2.9 which worked out much cheaper than PCP/PCH of Skoda Finance plus I'm not tied into any agreement length or maximum mileage. I can sell up when I want.
  10. Had a look at one today. The touchscreen is awful for finger prints. There are no buttons and finger prints are everywhere. If I bought one, this would really bug me.
  11. Meteor grey has been the best colour I've owned with hiding dirt.
  12. Sorry I'm the opposite. I still can't see it and hate the new lights. I'm trying but it's just not happening.
  13. Ah probably not worth it for me than. I like to put the phone away on listen to music via bluetooth. If I do have my phone cabled in on charge, the phone is in a cradle on the windscreen so using google maps etc would be easier having it placed there than having to look down at the Skoda screen.
  14. Ooo I don't like that! :( Looks way too 'Halford car park Saturday night' for me.
  15. Was sorted today by dealer. They narrowed it down to a bracket on the air con tuning rubbing against the heat shield at certain engine speeds. All now sorted.
  16. My bad I thought there was. I don't use USB and just stream using Bluetooth. Sure it's useful for those that use Android Auto, just seems so damn expensive and pointless to me.
  17. Well having owned both vehicle I cannot notice a difference at all on a normal commute. Maybe on a track day you would notice but other than that, felt and drove the same.
  18. You have a USB connection in the glove box, you can put the phone in there and plug it in?
  19. $20 for a bit of plastic to hold a phone that you can't pick up while driving anyway?? What's wrong with glove box, door pocket or passenger seat?
  20. Have a look here to help you choose... https://www.moneysupermarket.com/car-insurance/petrol-vs-diesel/ Is that 7000k is all motorway miles then get diesel as you will save a little bit. If however is stop start town driving get a petrol.
  21. I've owned both petrol and diesel. I cannot notice a difference on a normal commute. If you are doing 20/30+ motorway miles or more on a commute then diesel is the best option. If you are going 4 miles into town then get petrol.
  22. For the vast majority of us around the country that don't need to go into central London and carry out long motorways miles, diesels will be just fine and the correct choice
  23. There are only talks of places like London putting a 'tax' on diesel cars. These will only be for older diesel cars though not new ones likes ours with regens. Also.. If driving in central London regularly.. why on earth byy a diesel in the first place.
  24. No it won't. It's press scare mongering. The government has already said it will protect diesel owners.
