  1. It's probably not relevant if your virtual pedal has worked in the past, but there is a software upgrade available for problem VPs. On my MY17 Superb Estate L&K with factory tow bar, the pedal never worked. After the update, it has never failed.
  2. I called in at my local dealer today. I asked them to have a look, as I hadn't been able to get the VP to work in two weeks of ownership. I showed them how I'd been trying to operate it, and guess what? It worked! I think my Skoda dealer learned a few new swear words!
  3. I have the retractable tow bar and variable boot floor, so you can have both.
  4. I also have an MY17 Superb L&K with the retractable tow hitch. I've had the car nearly two weeks and have never manager to get the virtual pedal to work. In fact, I'd come to the conclusion that the VP was deleted if you had the tow bar! I'm impressed that you've managed to get it to work at all.
  5. Hi All, I took delivery of my 66 plate Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 TDI Laurin & Klement DSG on Monday. So far, I'm very impressed. The Superb has replaced my Audi A4 Avant, which I had for 4 years and 103,000 miles. The Audi performed flawlessly, but my family outgrew it. I can't imagine them complaining about the leg room in the back of the Skoda! I've only put about 400 miles on the Superb so far, so it's still very early days, but the highlights for me are: ACC - this is really great in queuing traffic and on the motorway. Gearbox - I was a big fan of the multitronic in my Audi, and wasn't sure how well I'd take to the DSG, I'm really impressed with it. It always seems to be in the right gear. I opted for the "flappy paddles" too, which are fun. DCC - A run across mid Wales caused me some concern, as the car was wallowing around a bit. Switching to Sport mode made a huge difference and gave me much more confidence on the twisties. There aren't really any lowlights yet, just some things I want to investigate: I had a demonstrator for a few days before I ordered, which had a TV as part of the the centre console. It was also listed as standard equipment when I ordered mine. However, it isn't on my car. Skoda say this is because it became an option on the MY17 car, but I tested MY16. I'm not really bothered about this, as I can't imagine watching telly very often, but I don't think specification should change between order and delivery. Virtual pedal - doesn't seem to exist on my car. There seems to be conflicting information about whether this is deleted when the factory-fit concealed towboat is fitted (as it is on my car). I need to find out if it's there and not working, or not there at all! Service booklet - one wasn't supplied with the car, and Skoda say they don't issue them any more. It's going to seem really odd not having a book full of service stamps! I'm even looking forward to driving from Shropshire to Reading on Monday morning for a chance to spend more time with the car!
