Hummm, guess that would make sense in the difference between TFSI and TSI - dropping the 'F' (fuel) drops the HPFP. Might be worth doing some digging

Hello! Do you mean the circular badge? Or the letters? I've done the front and rear on mine and did the following: Gave the area a good wipe down/clean Heated the logo with a hair dryer After about 10 mins of heating, I pushed an old credit card behind the logo and started to gently prise the badge from the boot Repeated the above steps (heating and pushing the CC in a bit further) until I could grip it with my fingers and pull off Once the logo is off, remove any excess sticky stuff with tar/adhesive remover I've seen other guides where people have used dental floss instead of a credit card to saw the badge off. Just make sure nothing metal or hard it used to remove the badge as it might damage the paint.

When I bought my vRS it already had a stage 1 map on it. I could tell there was more power there as it was very sudden and a bit uncomfortable. When I took it in to "get a stage 1" (although it already had one), R-Tech worked their own magic and got the power up to 252. Not a massive gain but the delivery was a lot better than before and power is now consistent and smooth, all the way up to 7k rpm Tempted by a stage 2 but want to update some hardware first. Had stage 1 for about 18 months now and very happy with it!

May as well round it up to one What power did your map give? Maybe half an hour? I'm going to change mine soon and it doesn't look too difficult

I got my stage 1 done at R Tech Performance - they know an *awful* lot about the 2.0 tfsi and tsi engines. And I mean an awful lot. There is a lot of information on the below link about tuning. As well as what has been mentioned above I would recommend checking/replacing the HPFP, diverter valve and PCV valve and making sure the are in good nick and the latest revisions. http://r-techperformance.co.uk/2-0-tfsi-tuning/ Edit: Just thought, 2011 engine code won't be on that list but the information on there might be useful

My 2006 vRS TFSi has nearly done 125k. Bought it with at about 116k two years ago so doing roughly 5k a year. Although my brother's Golf 1.9 GTTDi has done nearly 400k!

That's great, many thanks for your help! Hopefully going to see a hatchback one this weekend so fingers crossed.

Hi all Bit of a weird question, but does anyone have any photos of the inside of a mk II Fabia vRS with the rear seats folded? Or even better, dimensions on the interior space?! I'm considering down-sizing from my Octavia to Fabia. Only issue is, I play the drums and need to be able to fit my equipment in the back. Before I go to any for sale start jamming my cases in the back, I'd like to get an idea if they are roomy enough or not Thanks Edit: not fussed about hatchback or estate, just fishing for ideas!

Ah, repeater! That would make sense. there was also an advisory for offside indicator showing white light which makes sense, at least. I was dreading it might be something similar!

Morning all I had my vRS back from a main VAG dealer this week with a list of MOT advisories as long as my arm. I think they were trying to cram every known fault on the list but there was one I had never seen before: "Front nearside raptor discoloured" What on earth is a front nearside raptor?!

Quick update in case anyone else searches After getting info from a tuning company and parts dealership I went with the R revision valve and car is running fine!

Hi all I need to replace the PCV valve on my 2006 Octavia vRS. I took the old one off today to check the part number and it was 06F129101D. I've had a look online but can't find any replacement revisions for this number. Most of them are for C/E/G etc but no D? Can anyone help? Thanks
