  1. How much of a pain to put cover back on? - Boot lock intermittent, no actualtor noise when pressed BUT you can hear if you really listen, the microswtich operate
  2. In which case its fine the way it is!
  3. Ok, All that was there was a right angle elbow joint, this had been disconnected - I reconnected it and tested. Only then to still see a puddle of water under the car!
  4. I had a Yank on it (Wirth oil cap off) it wouldn't budge. Only want to know as apparently there is a Y connector there for the rear washer jet.... I saw an elbow joint on passenger side which had broken but apparently there is one on the bulkhead near or under the airbox.... Do you know of this?
  5. This is going to sound very very odd I know Where is the airbox on the 1.4 16v ???? There doesn't seem to be one?
  6. Hi All, Randomly the dash board dials and backlights for controls blink. Is this normal? (I suspect not) If not, where OR what is the issue and how can I fix please? John
  7. Hi All, The electronic boot lock seems to be very intermittent. I read someplace that you need to press the micro switch harder. (I tried and noting ). Then for no reason it comes back and is ok. Very raandom Where can I look to rectify please?
  8. Hey All, So, I noticed that when the drivers door opens the curtsey light and the little red light on the door itself do not illuminate. However, when the passengers side is opened its all lit up (incl the drivers side little red light) Can someone please advise? Many thanks
  9. Update - Had a really QUICK look under the bonnet, there was an elbow joint which had come apart.. Presto (or so I thought) We are still accumulating lots of water under the engine bay near the back on the floor passengers side (On the road. not inside) Where is this Y piece please? I cannot find it anywhere. I suspect thats the issue! John
  10. Hi All, Where is the most likely place that would prevent the water form getting to the rear window? I can hear the motor going but nothing comes out... Many thanks
  11. As can be seen on this eBay page (used for example) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X6Q0907511.TRS0&_nkw=6Q0907511&_sacat=0
  12. Ive seen several listed 6Q0 907 511 and several other ones with letters after it. Will they all fit? They all look different?
  13. Thanks for that - Method two doesn't work and I don't know where I can get a copy of the VAG com software (I think I have an ELM plug somewhere) John
