  1. I'm absolutely appalled by this - your ex-employer sounds like bullying scum! I really hope this works out well for you, hopefully the legal action will teach him a valuable lesson and prevent him treating anyone else in a similar manner. Hang on in there, and try not to let this experience get to you!
  2. Really - how do you find the time, and what is your point?
  3. You could always install ESXi to a usb stick, install Nexenta CE as a VM and use ZFS for disk resilience - just create the vmdks you present to the VM on separate VMFS volumes. You could even pass iSCSI LUNs back to ESXi as a datastore and run other VMs on it - that way you can have your cake and eat it - multiple VMs on one microserver with the benefits of ZFS: http://www.nexentastor.org/projects/site/wiki/CommunityEdition
  4. I've a couple of the older microservers (N36L) for nearly 2 years and they're great value for money (especially with the cashback). I bought them to study for VCP4, they ran ESXi 4.1 fine and I haven't had any problems with 5.0 or 5.1 either. It's mentioned on a couple of forums that you can run 16GB RAM as opposed to the HP supported 8GB if you buy the right dimms. You'll save a fair few quid on your electricit bill moving from that G1 too.
  5. Thanks for the swift replies guys - I'll have a look this weekend. Any idea of part no.s or if any other cars in the VAG family share the same part?
  6. As per title - when using the keyfob to lock the car the rear passenger side door doesn't lock, all the others do including the boot. It unlocks everytime, and locks if I push the tab down. Any ideas? I'm guessing a vacuum leak but why would it unlock and not lock?
  7. I've had mine since they were launched in May and I can't fault it. Great screen, no performance issues, does everything I want it to. Battery life is longer than previous phone (iPhone 3G) although I still charge it every night as I'd rather not run out of juice partway through the next day.
  8. Hi Shroud, as well as hooking the cable to the interior handle you need to make sure the cable outer is in the retaining sleeve (otherwise it just pulls the whole cable including the outer when you pull the handle). Hope this helps!
  9. Thanks for quick reply - the oil's just below max now (didn't want to overfill). Think you might be onto something with the bonnet switch as had the latch etc. replaced following an accident a couple of years ago and haven't run ow on oil since so haven't had cause to test it. Is it easy to locate?
  10. On the way home today the yellow oil light came on, I continued home (not too far) and checked the oil level to find it was down so topped up. I've started the car a few times since but it remains on. I've checked for fault codes with VAG-COM but there's nothing in the engine section. Should the oil light go out on it's own after a certain number of miles or does it sound like I have a bigger problem? I have heard of people opening and closing the bonnet to reset the light after topping up but this hasn't helped....
  11. Thanks for replies - think 'll return them, the vendor didn't state they were run flat and the model number reffers to a standard tyre.
  12. Got what I thought was a bargain but turns out they are run on flat tyres, can these be safely fitted to Octy rims as a pair or are they a no no? Thanks in advance...
  13. Think I'll give it a go then - thanks for the use of your hindsight
  14. Does anyone have any experience of the window regulator repair kits you can get on ebay? My window failed last night so I need to replace the regulator - just wondered if they are any good?
