  1. Strangely at -5 and -6 deg last week the car was fine. At +1 deg this morning it wouldn't move despite restarting it 6 times - really frustrating. Have now sent a second video of this to the dealer as the car is still under warranty and I am seeing them tomorrow morning. Don't want to do any DIY repairs as car should be fit for purpose or Skoda can have it back. Can't believe we are the only 2 people experiencing this problem. I've noticed that tickover is disrupted and drops slightly (even feeling a bit rough similar to a mis-fire) when in drive and pressing down on the accelerator. Really disappointing as is spoiling what is a great little car.
  2. Thanks rollyball0. The dealer had our car for 2 frosty mornings but the fault didn't show and they don't know what is causing it. They need evidence to be able to investigate further under warranty so looks like we'll have to video us starting the car every cold morning to prove it and before they will refer it to Skoda. It must be something in the electronic control system for the gearbox to actually disengage the throttle pedal action. Leaving the car for 10 mins after starting the engine and then stopping it seems to solve the issue, just not always practical to do so. Will update if we get any further info, but would appreciate if you could do the same thanks.
  3. Has anyone else experienced a strange problem with the ASG models during cold weather. When there is a frost and the car is cold, you put it into drive, press the accelerator and nothing happens - revs don't increase and the vehicle doesn't move. Put the car back into neutral and the accelerator works again increasing revs. Put it back into drive and the accelerator goes dead again. If the care has idled for a couple of minutes and is switched off, going back to the car 10 mins later and everything is fine. Has happened on 3 occasions now in frosty weather. Car going in to dealer today but they hadn't heard of this issue before. The dealer did have the car for 3 weeks in the summer trying to get the gearbox to work again after the gearbox recall.
