  1. @aki78 can you DM me please with the details of the MIB1 firmware as looking to update my octy. Regards James. (did try messaging you but it would let me)
  2. I have a 3 year old at 46k that I bought 6 months ago. 7 speed auto box. Overheating, usual red lights, aircon turns off etc. From what I read the water pump that should heat the car up at start up (small volume of water) heats up as it should do, when it starts to boil the oil and water, electric thermostat which is part of the water pump should kick in and open main engine coolant reservoir once engine is nice and hot (protecting from cold start damage winter use). temp drops. On a few models around 2013-1014 they were supplied with dodgy pumps that would stick in the startup mode (small water volume) and hence overheat as they would not open up when reached running temp. Just had my car in to Guildford lookers this week and they took the car apart suspecting this. Turned out it was this and they replaced the pump rollers etc FOC as under the approved 1 year warranty. Bit of an upsell for them but yes they even offered me the option to replace the belt (not covered) for cost price as they were already in there anyway and labour would be covered FOC. common fault with 13/14 models

  4. I did the black magic monte carlo kit on the 2 logos as well as the skoda and octavia lettering which was also avalable from superskoda, yes they arent cheap but look the part and im sure will be durable in the long run.
  5. got both the skoda and octavia ones in black from superskoda, also got the matching front and rear roundels as well, theyre not cheap though
  6. I've just taken an O3 as its one of the very few with an 80kg or so roof rack limit. I'm using it as a support car for a cycling team. A couple of companies make full racks for 7-8 bikes and the octavia is one of the few cars that will take the weight, the others were the volvo, citroen and an audi as well as passat so very few. To answer your question for the fitted bars you need a pair of cross members and then what ever individual bike racks to fit on the cross bars. If your going for a good robust solid system then id always go thule. Used thule before for racks of up to 4 bikes as well as theyre tow ball mounted rack and theyre products always ooze quality which is reassuring. hope this info helps.
