  1. either that or carpro essence - essence is good as there is no panel wipe required after only needs to cure for around 4 hours or so before topping
  2. Yes i have used nearly all of the koch range and can't recommend it enough
  3. Carpro Tar X or Autosmart Tardis always the 2 i reach for. Thanks
  4. My Technique is as follows i use an initial spray of either bilt hamber surfex hd apc / Britemax grime out / adams rubber and tyre cleaner and allow to dwell for the duration of me cleaning that alloy and once the wheel is done give it a scab with the tufshine tyre brush, then rinse and repeat until the foam from the cleaner is white, once it goes white i reach for my green monster cloth by klin available from Dooka detailing or Excel detailing supplies, give the tyre a good scrub with the cloth (you'll be amazed how much more this pulls out the tyre). Then i will at the end of the wash dry the tyres with a microfibre and a metro vac blaster to ensure its completely dry. then i have 2 go to tyre dressings: the first is Gyeon Q2 Tire. 1 layer then 20 minutes layer a gentle wipe down and apply a second coat (leave for Glossy / wipe down after 10 minutes for matte) and the second is Cartect Tyre Wax available from dooka or excel apply one coat leave for 20 minutes, gentle wipe then apply a second coat (again leave for a glossier finish or wipe after 20 minutes for a matte finish) the gyeon coating i have had up to 5 months out of during the summer months and cartect i have been getting around a month of durability and the finish i desire on my tyres. Below photo is Cartect after 1 week of driving Thanks IMG_3212 by Craig Johnson 1994, on Flickr
  5. Hi, the best thing i have found for a smear free finish is pure water and a Klin Klin Glass Shine cloth http://dooka.co.uk/microfibre-cloths-and-towels/klin-korea-glass-shine i couldn't believe what this thing can do !
  6. Hi again just thought I would post up my maintenance wash I recently did on a Bentley I know it's not a skoda again but you didn't seem to mind last time http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=394836 i promise to do my Octavia vrs write up soon !
  7. Carpro hydro/hydrolite are superb perfect all year round and adds gloss to the vehicle
  8. Hi Guys, i know i shouldnt be posting BMW's here however this car received basically the same treatment as my Octy VRS./ Heres what happened on my dads BMW http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=388417 and here is a picture of the Octy Octy Vrs by Craig Johnson 1994, on Flickr IMAG0026 by Craig Johnson 1994, on Flickr Thanks
  9. Not used to using a DA as i predominantly use rotary or VRG however Scholl And Koch Chemie are great. Scholl Favorites - S20 Black, S30+, S40, S17+ Koch Favorites - H8, F5, M2. Koch F5 Breaks down so well you could almost get away with using it as a finishing polish on the correct pad and technique with a rotary This is H8 followed by F5 Before After Thanks
  10. My choice is CarPro Reset for stripping waxes. great product for really dirty cars and also great for ceramic coatings. Smells very subtly of mint, good suds and great cleaning power
  11. The trick with essence is to not use it like a polish as such but like a glaze, I find a soft chemical guys hex logic pad after compounding and polishing is best then to let it settle for 3 hours or so ...the difference you get is massive from letting it settle. Coatings wise me and a friend have tested many combos for a while and the 1st layer needs to be durable such as gtecniq csl The second layer needs the gloss factor something like SiRamik sc15 or cquk, the last layer is you hydrophobic layer something like gtecniq exo or gyeon durabead. But essence plays abut part as it is a primer for the 1st coating to bond to
  12. Hi, Hi Chubbs, New here but have been using Essence for a while now and the results are stunning. here is my car after essence and 3 different ceramic Coatings. Thanks
  13. Hi Guys, New here just thought id throw this up as a hello pic
