  1. Sorry for the late reply guys. I used chemical guys blacklight on a Megs finishing pad. Going to start a full 1 stage correction with scholl S20 black soon though. I'd like to do the wheels anthracite at some point but as it's a lease car it's a grey area at the moment.
  2. Went to shut the gate as i left a site this afternoon & just had to take a photo!
  3. To keep it all in 1 post. Here's mine Superb SE Technology 150 TDI 6sp manual Pacific blue Leather & alacantara Bi-xenon headlights Heated front seats 18" modus wheels Based near Loughborough so will keep my eyes peeled for anyone else.
  4. I applied blacklight with a da so did one coat as i would for swirl removal then a 2nd coat as directed. There are still some swirls in it but until i have more time to do a full correction they will have to remain.
  5. I went ahead and clayed mine, although it is going to need some more correction than just applying blacklight and wax. Well it's rather swirly, ive not done any full correction just yet as I've not had the time. Only managed to get the drivers side done before it got too warm. Clayed: Slim's fine clay & dodo clay lube Sealed: 2 coats of chemical guys blacklight by DA Wax: ODK SiNuba B Pillars Before: Drivers door before: B pillar after: Drivers door after: Drivers side After:

  7. Took delivery of my new Skoda Superb Hatchback this morning....Typically the weather is shocking. Specification: SE Technology Pacific Blue Leather & alacantara interior 18" modus alloys Bi-xenon headlights Pre-wash: Serious Performance Citrus Wash: Bilt Hamber Auto Wash by 2bm Dried: Sonus waffle weave towel All door shuts wiped down etc... Getting some stuff together to make a start in a little while. Kids going to the park is apparently a higher priority than the car
  8. I've just read through your entire thread.... Fantastic is all i can say. Subscribed!
  9. It completely depends upon what you're doing after it. For me i asked the dealer not to prep the car as i wanted to apply my own coatings etc.... They appear to have listened however it still seems to have transit wax of some sort on it. The only way to really strip it back to basics is by claying. I'm planning to clay then apply 2 coats of chemical guys blacklight then top it off with 1 coat of ODK SiNuba wax.
  10. Pre-wash: Serious Performance Citrus Wash: Bilt Hamber Auto Wash by 2bm Dried: Sonus waffle weave towel All door shuts wiped down etc... All set for claying, sealing and waxing tomorrow.....Wife permitting.
  11. Looks great. Not even driven mine yet :( i need a full day of good weather so i can get cracking at making it shiny!
  12. It's got pirelli fitted. I'll check the type in a little while for you.
  13. My Pacific blue Se technology arrived this morning. I just want the rain to go away now so i can clay it and reseal and wax it! I'll get some more photos later
  14. Mine arrives on Saturday. Superb SE Technology 150 TDI 6sp manual Pacific blue Leather & alacantara Bi-xenon headlights Heated front seats 18" modus wheels Taking delivery Saturday AM and I'm hoping that the lease company passed on my request for the dealer to not prep it.
  15. It's a company car so not really a worry ....But I just want it now!
  16. Finally got a delivery date for it....28th March. So only a few weeks to wait now!
  17. Has anybody got a decent set of rubber mats? I travel between construction sites on a day to day basis and short of wearing overshoes or cleaning the mats every 5 mins I could do with a decent set certainly for the driver's side.
  18. Once the lacquer gets a break in it the diamond cut wheels start to oxidize and turn white under the lacquer. Anything like a strong tfr or APC cleaner can cause this too. Ive seen hand car washes ruin diamond cut rims due to using a high concentration tfr or APC (essentially acid) which has eaten away at the lacquer/got under via a break in it. I've ordered modus wheels on my service tech which is due in 3 weeks.
  19. Cheers guys. I was also skeptical when they said late March delivery....
  20. So I finally made my decision and ordered my new superb with the lease company (company car). SE Technology 2.0tdi 150 6sp man hatchback Pacific Blue Leather and Alacantara interior Options: 18" Modus alloys Bi-xenon AFS headlamps Heated front seats Delivery expected late March. Really looking forward to getting it :)
  21. Aye but moon white would mean I couldn't get the 18" wheel option.
  22. I've just spec'd an SE technology 150 in candy white with Xenon headlamps and 18"wheels and it comes in my price band still. Happy days
