  1. You can get Waze for AA now on PlayStore for none Beta users.
  2. Do you think you will get a invite when you installed it over apkmirror? Google knows all, also they know you got a beta version but not from them... the Beta is there for tests and to send bug reports and should not be shared over the internet. Because of that many Company's refuse to give Beta tests to almost anyone, just a few hand picked Developers and testers. Also the Beta version can harm your Device to, since the Code isn't completed yet and could send your information (Passwords etc.) to some other app without you knowing about it. There are more and more Hacks on phones these days since everyone tends to have everything on the Phone ( Bank accounts, PayPal,...) so do try to minimise the risk yourself. And the *.apk files on apkmirror aren't certified from a know source so they could have been altered also. But just saying
  3. Ok that is a different story then Im only looking at new cars and there, the new E class and 5 series is 1-2 classes above, as is the price. Here we don't feel anything of Brexit, rather that Skoda is doing so well that the Superb costs the same as the Passat, and the new Karoq is also getting really expensive for a small SUV Skoda...
  4. Why drive basic cars? The new 5 series is something else and beyond the E class. Don't drive old generation cars and say they are poor. Also if you drive a fully loaded Superb then drive a fully loaded BMW (or other car). Ofc you cant compare them in terms of price. In the E class you get LED lights with 84 modules that even dimm traffic signs, where on the Superb you get Xenons. And the new 5 series has a HUD that is huge (the biggest on the market at the 2017/2018 model), also wireless CarPlay, new Infotainment system etc.
  5. Te seats are Leatherette Alcantara and some other fabric mix, the Dashboard is also Leatherette or Artico... i don't really know nor i do care It does look nice and the seats are Sporty and Comfortable! Also not a fan of real leather, since i see no benefits compared to Alcantara, also why i drive a Sportline But some people do like dead cow on the seats... Im just saying the A6 is the better car and if money doesn't matter, then go for the A6, since the Superb does not offer that much more space and can be measured in centimeters Get a VW Caravelle if you need a lot of space Don't get me wrong, the Superb is a really good car, that's why i got one, but it just cant keep up with the "Premium" cars. Also some People wont see the difference, since for them it does not matter if the car got Air Suspension or the other stuff, since even the Superb got to much gadgets they don't know how to use (just read this Forum a bit...). But i myself am not even 30 Years (close tho :P ) and such things do matter, but Money is not unlimited and if it were, wouldn't buy a A6 but a RS 6 or something :P
  6. Yes both are a Option, and with my AMG package the dash is in leather, with open cell wood, and so on... the Superb is 2 classes below that, but also costs half as much And the Diesel engine on the Merc while you do hear it from the outside, inside it sound better then the Petrol (did drive both). Same goes for the Arteon, it is just a lot better insulated and inside you don't hear it no were near as in the Superb. And i don't care how it sound from the outside, because i sit in the Car Oh and most Petrol engines now days also sound horrible from the outside... you hear a weird "tk tk tk tk tk tk".... like a Ducati where you think its falling apart :P
  7. Well the MB is my Business car with AMG Interior (Leather dash etc.) and the Arteon i only had a Test drive. The Arteon is well made and in its own way does look premium inside
  8. You mean MIB3? Thats not a MIB3 unit... its still MIB2, just different screen and slightly different software - skin. Can also be done on some MY2017 to look the same, and also you can swap the screen without changing the Infotainment computer in the glow box Oh and the MB E Class looks also different inside And here a Picture of the E and Arteon inside
  9. That it just not true. If you do a VCDS readout of the Infotainment Module 5F, you get a MIB2 reading. Also the MJ2017 already have the new Skin inside and the Online stuff, just needs to be activated. Its the same stuff just packed differently. In the end, that doesn't matter to the end user what is behind it, but what he gets. In VW, you had all the stuff prior to the new glass design (Car Net). You could also change the Screen from a MY2017 to a MY2018 in a Superb and it would work, except for the App button needed to be coded. Seen it already done in a Octavia. Oh and on the new MY2018 Amundsen you can code the "old" infotainment skin, if you like the older design more (i do the Coding myself so i know what can be done) And the screen is not all Touchscreen, but the buttons work in a different way
  10. It starts recording when you open the App and doesn't show the same as the Car, since you already can look it up in the car... So it can't show the same as the data in the car
  11. It's still MIB2, just different screen and some minor software changes I think not even the 9.2" screen is MIB3, as i know only Audi uses that in the latest systems
  12. in 2018 all Petrols get a Particle Filter, so the DPF wont be a Diesel problem anymore... And the 190HP with AdBlue is cleaner then the other engines, since the TSI engines produce other "shi*" then the Diesel At the end, nothing is perfekt. If they want to ban Diesel cars from the Citys then i can understand you worry, but still if you buy a modern EURO 6 Diesel you should be fine for a lot of years to come, since i doubt they will ban everyone out of the City so no one can come to work or shop Maybe i see it differently since here Diesel engines are a lot more popular, even on low mileage a year, because the resell value is also higher then on petrol so you don't overpay the diesel at the beginning, and i think that wont be much different in the UK. Also how is the Diesel to Petrol price difference? Here its 15 to 20% for the Diesel
  13. Sorry don't misunderstand me, the 280HP is a nice car, but i just don't like the 4 cylinder noise on high revs and you hear it on the 1.4 even more. The Golf R and Cupra have almost the same Motor as the 280HP Superb, just a bit more tuned and with a nice Exhaust note, witch the Superb kinda lacks. Sure the Superb is a great car, that's why we all bought one Difference 190 vs. 280 is 3000€ and then the higher fuel consumption and Insurance. But everyone needs to decide for them self what they like and if they are willing to pay for it. What i would say to the 1.4 150HP one is, that in the ACT mode or 2 Cylinder mode, the Motor in cold weather does rattle funny and for some people can also be annoying (for me it was...). But well, it runs on 2 Cylinders so it's logical that it makes a rattle So Test it before buying! The ACT mode starts at roughly 1400 RPM and was the most annoying for me at around 1600-1700 RPM on low speeds around 50-60kmh / 30-35mph
  14. I don't need a 280TSI, where max. speed here is 130km/h... I like the TDI for the fast overtaking and 190HP is more then enough. Also don't need 4x4. If i want something 250hp+ then il get a Golf R or something like that where you can feel the power or rather a true hot hatch, not a big car like the Superb where i can tell that i can get 0-130 in 8s or so and Fuel economy is nuts... for 100km (62miles) i pay 6€ with my TDI, on the 280TSI with a consumption of 9 liters + and higher fuel price i would pay 10-11€, also Tax and Insurance is much higher, for in the end i don't get so much more with that much HP in a car like the Superb. As i said, the Golf R or Leon Cupra with 300hp is a whole different story and there i would gladly pay for it Oh and i heard the 280HP one... still doesn't sound really good and in comparison to my old 258HP 3.0 R6 sounds like a 1.0 Renault Clio :P
  15. You have to sing up once, fill everything and then wait for the Invite, if you get one! Not everyone gets one... its not closed, just not everyone gets in. In the Closed Beta forums they said that they hand pick every beta tester, so if you don't match there Profile you wont get in
  16. Yep it works. You have to be a Beta tester for AA to get all the Updates, since in the last few days there were 3! updates until it works again. There are still bugs in the App, but that's why it is a BETA program and not a Official release. Also not all Cars are Supported with Waze, that's why you have to fill out the Form as a AA Beta Tester where they ask for your Car and Infotainment system
  17. Then probably wont work. Maybe Skoda just changed the Hardware somewhere and some lucky guys with MJ2016 also have the right thing installed. The same goes for some MJ2017 cars have the new Infotainment Skin that came with MY2018 already build in (can be Coded) and the Online Funktions can be unlocked to (but you need a Code from Skoda, that you won't get...)
  18. I went from a 1.4TSI to a 190HP TDI and get better Fuel economy on the 190 tdi if i drive normal or rather Dynamic then the 1.4TSI on Eco/Normal Also had a 150HP TDI for 1 Week, drove it exactly the same as the 150 TSI and on the TSI i got 5.6 l/100km (50.6 MPG UK?) and on the TDI 4.4 (64 mpg). On a normal work drive the TSI took 6.5 l/100km and the TDI 5.4 (43 to 52). Also the TSI when Accelerating sounds a bit strained where the TDI has a nice growl since the RPM is much lower. Just love the VW TDI engine sound, not so much the TSI... if they stop making TDI then il just get a pure E-Drive car. The last Petrol car that i enjoyed the sound was my 2005 BMW 330Xi with a straight 6 cylinder engine :P But in the end, no one can decide for someone else what he likes, so always drive all available options and chose the one YOU like the most, after all it is YOUR money YOU spend
  19. U wont get Interent connection since you Navigation unit dosen't have a SIM car in it or it is not connected to a HotSpot on you Phone or CarStick. But you don't need Internet for the OneApp to work. Just connect to the HotSpot on your SatNav and open the App. Or Connect via USB cable and open the App over MirrorLink. But for the your phone must support MirrorLink (iPhone doesn't) or as i know the OneApp works over Apple CarPlay also! so try this!
  20. Did you Create a HotSpot in you Car and connect to it with your Phone? Do you use a iPhone or Android?
  21. It is Compatible with KW22/2016+ cars, that is MY2017+
  22. The A6 with Soundproof Glass and Air Suspension is a whole other thing to the DCC in the Superb, even tho it is superb for the price. With all that room that you need i would buy a whole different car, but it's your money
  23. Because Skoda ist build in the MQB platform and not as the Audi MLB platform. Those build in the Motor differently and in the MQB the V6 doesn't fit just so easy. Modularer Querbaukasten and Modularer Längsbaukasten Also if you would have to many options in a Skoda, the price would go up to since you have to Produce more things, where if you keep the Options list lower you save costs. Look at the Japanese cars where you don't have that much Options Already now Skodas aren't cheap anymore and here in my Country you can get a Passat for the same price and VW also gives you Service Inclusive where Skoda doesn't... I did a comparison with a Astra ST vs. Octavia Combi, almost identical options and the Octavia was 5000€ more... that's a lot of money for a normal Family car. Don't get me wrong, Skoda is a nice car but no where near cheap these days but still price is OK for what you get, and if you want more then you buy a Jag,Volvo,MB,BMW,Audi, but there the Sky is the limit
  24. Are talking about the latest E-Klass? I got a Company E with AMG Line, where the whole Dashboard is covered in Leather, got open cell wood (not shiny black plastik...), a nice 195HP Diesel engine that u almost don't hear, 2 huge 12" screens, and the fit and finish is perfekt, no stichig is misaligned, not like in the Skoda where they were drunk making the seat... I am a Fan of the Superb, already got my second one (2015 S3 L&K, now a 2017 Sportline), but the new E-Klass, 5 series and the A6 are better made and always insulated. They do cost a lot more tho, like my E-K,ass is 78.000€ and the Superb 40.000€... is it worth the difference? For some yes for the other not, but most people (not all) who can afford a 80k Car wont look at a Skoda
  25. Same for me... i did drive the Arteon and it is realy good looking and the Interior even tho its almost the sam as Passat, it is nice looking. The car is definitively on my top 3 list when i get a new car
