  1. Ask your dealer, or find an enthusiast on Briskoda, to reset your computer to Australia. This will then display mph. You are breaking no law by doing so. A vehicle only has to be capable of showing mph and kph.
  2. I have had tow bars with electrics fitted to two Yetis by Phil Taylor Towbars near Portsmouth philtaylortowbars.co.uk No problems encounter with rear parking sensors or car computer. Phil owns a Yeti and has fitted many Yetis. So reasonably priced compared with local fitters that it has been worth a 250-mile round trip (and still save money). Tows my boat beautifully.
  3. um...does anyone have a cable and software, please?
  4. Yep, right enough. Nevertheless, when I had my previous Yeti reprogrammed, 'Australia' was the setting that renders the maxdot as mph.
  5. I know this was covered some years ago, but I would be grateful for some up-to-date information. Having written off my lovely first Yeti a couple of weeks ago, I have just collected a replacement. The dealership said they would change the computer to 'Australia ' so the maxdot shows mph. They didn't do it. Is there anyone within the lovely Briskoda community with the magic cable and software to do the job, please?
  6. My lovely Yeti SE L Drive was totalled at the weekend after taking in too much sea water. (I know, I shouldn't have taken her for a swim!) I have sourced a second-hand replacement. I would like to have a reversing camera (that displays through the in-built SatNav). A couple of Skoda dealers tell me they cannot supply and fit. Does anyone know a dealer that does? Thanks
  7. Good spot! Yes I did mean mpg...could regularly get 50mpg on a run...the kindest thing I can say about my Yeti on the same route and similar condition is – not yet! On a positive note, with the back seats down, the Yeti becomes a family van. Handy for recycling centre visits and shipping kids to uni.
  8. Earlier this year I moved to a Yeti (SEL 1.2 Drive) from a Nisan Note. As much as I love my new purchase, I found the Note to have more rear-seat legroom than the Yeti. I am 6'6" and adult passengers could comfortably sit behind me without me having to compromise my driving position. Also, the mph was superior to the Yeti. I read that your wife doesn't like the Nissan nor the Yeti. Fair enough. Perhaps inviting her to list the cars she does like might a way to take the heat out of the debates. Wish you well in your decision-making.
  9. Thanks, I took delivery of the car in February 2017. Bit surprised to have a service so soon.
  10. Have just done 8,500 miles and a waring 'Oil service in 800 miles' appears on the Maxdot. Does this comprise a simple oil change. Is it likely to be covered in my PCP two services pack?

Has anyone found a way to change to voice for the nav guidance on the Amudsen satnav?

    towbar

I want to get a towbar fitted on my yeti SEL Drive 1.2 petrol. Because it has rear sensors, do I have to get a detachable bar? (I priced one at a dealer I saw mentioned on the forum and the quote, with single electrics, was £540.) What, if any, are the disadvantages of having a standard bar? also, as I am on a PCP, do I have to tell Skoda that I am adding the bar? Thanks.
  14. SETTING/Alt Speed dis ticked gets this on the MFD
