What's involved in swapping to the MIB STD2 PQ? is it plug and play or does it need coding to the car? Will all the underlying features the control the car work the same on that unit compared to the original? Also is the RNS315 prone to bluetooth issues as it would be easier to replace with the same unit I guess but I'd hate to buy another head unit with the same fault
-
sorry, you replied just as i uploaded the pic above, not sure how I get the software version? I think my unit is a 315?
-
You're not wrong about the cost - £600 seems to be the going rate, I think I'll get used to plugging my phone in for that!! lol do you think its worth replacing the head unit like for like or is there an update that can be done? GF had the same exact same issue in her Citreon DS3 and luckily it was under warranty and Citroen have just plugged it in and done some kind of update that solved it

It's a 2015 Montecarlo that has Bluetooth built into the unit as opposed to the underseat module

I'm having issues with playing music through Bluetooth in my car and need advice. The Bluetooth connects no bother and works fine for phone calls, but struggles to connect for music, most of the time when you switch to media, then transfer to Bluetooth it shows the track name etc that should play (from Spotify) on the car screen but I get no sound and the steering wheel buttons won't change track. I've disconnected and deleted the car from my phons Bluetooth a few times and only twice managed to get it to play, today being one of them, I had deleted it from my phone then added it back on and it worked fine, track name on screen, sound and can change track on the steering wheel, then on re-starting the car I'm back to square one - no music. The phone works fine on Bluetooth in my transit van every time, is a Samsung S10 aprox 2 yrs old and the car stereo is an Amundsen. I have the chance of a RNS510 stereo, is it worth putting this in? is it plug and play and will all the other items, park sensors set up etc work with this? Anyone any advice?

I was going to get that done, it's had the oil changed by Skoda at about 42k a year ago but there's a good independent version guy in town so I'll get him to do it, it's not big money and makes sure it's right. Having a struggle with my phone connecting on blue tooth, the phone connects and when you switch it to media and Bluetooth it shows the track playing on the screen but no audio? Can't turn the volume up, volumes set in settings - Bluetooth to loud? Worked for a minute yesterday but today, won't work? It's a samsung phone and it worked fine in my Octavia and works fine in my transit?

Just collected a 2015 170bhp Montecarlo version and from a previous post it's ad the emissions fix so I might look into getting it rolled back and benefit from better mpg cheers for the help

I'd imagine talking to Darkside is a very slippery slope - and expensive too, but a whole heap of fun, the thought of a Tonka Toy, which is what the Yeti reminds me of, thats bloody rapid appeals to my inner child
-
Guilty as charged, Ex GS but now Trumpet, Montesa, Scorpa and Beta riding ****** (in my head its riding God! LMAO) And in answer to mileage, I do around 18k a year mixed between car and van so plenty to justify a diesel plus most journeys are a decent mileage
-
cheers for that, good info to have
-
just thought of another question, how do you know if its had the emissions fix done or not, would rather have one that hasn't had it, ideally a 170 Elegance 4x4 with low mileage and saturday nights lottery numbers while I'm on
-
I'm looking for a Yeti having just sold and Octavia and I'm noticing a few of the 2016/2017 4x4 don't have the offroad button, even though they are outdoor models, was that an optional extra? What else is different between Urban and Outdoor models? Also some of the new shape models seem to be 138BHP and some are 150BHP but both in the new shape? Are all 150BHP models with Adblue? Bloody confusing these things

I'm selling a 2016 VRS diesel 4x4 and when buying was desperate for heated seats, having had them in all my vans over the last 10yrs, my VRS hasn't got them and tbh I don't miss them now, there's not really anything that I feel I miss or it lacks apart from ground clearance for what I would really use it for (hence why its for sale - going for a Yeti as a lot of my work travel is on country roads and farm tracks etc which the VRS is not really suitable for). I do really like that adaptove turning headlights, they are fantastic and the dsg is so easy to drive with, smooth when you want it and rapid when you need it, the 4x4 system is brilliant, loads of grip, you can take quite a few liberties pulling out of junctions etc.
-
How does that work, I take its that it's just purely for business use? Otherwise company car tax would take over?
-
Yes Tdi 4x4, I've got an Octavia vrs4x4 at present which is for sale as it's too good to use for work, van would be more use to me plus my business can pay for it and for the running costs etc, plus I've always liked yetis, that's what I was gonna buy before the Vrs, but was seduced by the big wheels and spoilers but the reality is it's sitting there only going out on a Sunday And whilst the Vrs is fun I rarely drive it quickly, just potter round

Or the other question is how easy is it to import a Sherpa from the Republic of Ireland
-
Yes it's the same t****r as on the bike forums lmao getting back to the Yeti, it's the taxation class I wanted to be able to change so it's a commercial vehicle and not eligible for company car tax ideally, didn't think it would be possible but worth an ask.
-
I know Skoda Ireland produced the Yeti Sherpa which was a commercial version with now back seats etc, one of those would suit me and my business fine so anyone know if it's possibly to convert one to legally be a commercial vehicle in the U.K.? Only other option similar is the freelancer commercial or outlander 4 work but both tend to have mega mileage on them, where as a low mileage Yeti is reasonably priced amd removing the interior shouldn't be complex.
