  1. Hi folks, I have a 2012 Skoda Yeti Greenline 1.6, I bought it last year and I love it - its a dream to drive. My only reservation is that wheel size (Alloy/Tyre) that came with it, I think they are 16". They look a bit odd in the large wheel arch designed to accommodate a 17" wheel. I am thinking about getting a set of 17" alloys from a breaker and fitting them with new tyres. I was wondering if this is just a straight swap or are there any gotcha's? Can I use any Skoda alloys, will a set of 17" alloys from a 2012 Octavia do also. Thanks, Ray K
  2. Hi Folks, My Skoda Yeti 1.6 Greenline 2012 has a coolant leak. I have probably put 2 Litres of coolant into her since Christmas Eve. It was due a service in any case, so I decided to go ahead, change the oil and filter and see if I could spot the problem along the way. A mechanic is going to fix this for me in anycase, but I hate to bring a car to any mechanic with out an idea of the problem I am dealing with. After I put the Yeti up on the ramp, it was clear there was a lot of fluid sitting on the engine's underside cover. The lining on the sump was saturated with coolant. The coolant is dripping down the slide of the engine block behind, what I think is the timing belt. I could see roughly where it was coming from but not source, this is a pretty decent photo. So it doesn't appear to be a loose pipe or radiator, could anyone throw more light on the problem for me. Ray K
  3. Hi folks, There doesn't seem to be a haynes manual for the Yeti. My Yeti needs a minor service - is there some other guide I can use? Ray K
  4. Well as it turns out, the coolant levels was way below the sensor prones. Looks like I have a leak somewhere - is this a common problem? Ray K
  5. Actually it is the coolant light that is flashing ... Better check my coolant levels. Ray K
  6. Hi folks, Whenever I start my Skoda Yeti 1.6 Greenline, the red warning light appears on the Oil Temperature Gauge. The is also a series of accompanying bing sounds ... I have checked the oil levels in the engine and they seem absolutely fine. Is the Yeti really complaining that the oil is too cold, when the engine is cold? Is this just an symptom of the oil needing to change - it is due a 10,000km service? Ray K
