My 2011 Octavia is going back to the garage tomorrow for the 5th time in six months for the same problem. The blower only works on the '4' setting because 1,2 and 3 have stopped working.
We drove 400 miles with this fault last weekend. We put the blower on 4 until we can't stand the heat/noise, then turn it off and the windows steam up.
I have read all the many posts on this problem and printed them out for my garage. Fortunately I have not been charged since the first visit because they are as keen to get the matter resolved as I am.
The replacement parts (don't ask me what - I am a woman) come from the Skoda dealer but they could give no explanation as to why the fault keeps re-occurring.
This may be a silly statement - but we have noticed that the blower (when working) seems to slow down when we turn left.
Any comments?
