  1. Yep, i've noticed this too. But only on hills for me and it happens so infrequently that I haven't bothered to do anything about it.
  2. Hey Martinib, Looks like you're missing a few small parts. These have almost certainly dropped inside the unit if they are not on the floor of the car. Unfortunately, you cannot order the smaller parts of the unit which is why your dealer is suggesting a new unit. Been there and tried rather frustratingly! If you have the time & patience I would suggest you try and fix this yourself using the info posted by others in this very thread.
  3. Ok well I had to remove the ashtray housing, undo 4 screws and then pull off the trim for the air pipe to come out horizontally. Low & behold the back of the slider was waiting for me at the bottom of the pipe. Which means I have now recovered all bits in order to fix the air vents. Many Thanks to the contributor's to this thread as you gave me the impetus to do it myself rather than take to a dealer and spend £££'s. Cheers.
  4. Sorry mate one more question where's the temp sensor I can't see it for love nor money?
  5. Many Thanks Mark! I've just got to try and recover the 2nd 'slider back' from the heater pipe and I'll be good to go! Fingers crossed. Cheers, Mark
  6. Can someone be kind enough to share how this pops out? My little ones have also knocked both sliders off the air vents and some pieces have fallen inside the unit... would like to try and fix this myself if possible.
  7. Thanks again... I've just ordered so looking forward to it arriving.
  8. Interestingly though I've just found on the Thule website that their Aluminium wingbars have a max load of 100kg so I presume a lot has changed in the year this thread has been going?
  9. Thanks for the reply pentaxian! Like you I have a Hatch also... How much are the Skoda bars? I'm not too fussed about the weight limit with the Thule bars if that is still the case? I would only be using the box for lightweight stuff and would hopefully come nowhere near the 38.5kg limit you previously mention. The one who must be obeyed has said she doesn't want a cool box but a mini fridge! So that'll be going in the boot along with the kitchen sink .
  10. I know this thread is over a year old now but I'm just about to purchase the Hapro Traxer 5.6 roof box with the Thule aluminium wingbars. I'm having difficulty understanding exactly what you can fit inside the box as there's hardly any pics/videos etc online and if i'm honest litres/volume mean absolutely nothing to me. Would one of you fine peeps who own a 5.6 or 6.6 be kind enough to give me a brief overview as to what you use your box for? I just want to make sure that my bulky camping equipment (1 x Double sleeping bad, 3 x single sleeping bags, large cool box will fit inside before I order. Many Thanks
  11. Hi & a very Happy Christmas to you all. We got our new Superb on Friday and to say that we're ecstatic is a bit of an understatement! I can see now why it gets 4 & 5 star reviews. Anyway, best go and open some pressies with the kids.
  12. Hi, I took delivery of my Superb on Friday and I have since discovered that the Amundsen sat nav came without the original Skoda sd card. No real problem as I'll call the dealership and arrange for them to send me it next week. I have since downloaded and extracted the latest update onto a 32gb sd card in preparation for when I receive the Skoda sd card. Anyway, am I right in thinking that I need the original Skoda sd card before I can use the sat nav? Cheers...
