  1. I have also noticed that lenses are covered with smeary thing. I noticed it already several months ago and it will get worse during the time. I have motorbike with similar (lense-type) headlights and it has got same problem. For motorbike it is easy to dismount the headlight, open it (yes, the construction of headlight will allow to do it and close it afterwards) take the lense out and clean them. I have done the cleaning once, using vinegar and the result was good. But for car I havent examined is it possible to open the headlight so that I'll not destroy any part etc. Btw, of course I did all necessary headlight resettings when I mount the headlight back to the bike.
  2. Welcome! I switched to Roomster from turbo Saab (and miss only couple of things) so I believe that changing from Peugeot to Skoda is not so crazy idea at all. In our market are 6 spec versions available (Classic, Style, Style Plus, Sport,Comfort and Scout), in Polish market things should be similar. I have Comfort level (similar to Roomster 2 in UK but without some extras and with some extras from Roomster 3) and additionally some add-ons: ESP parking sensors headlight washing sunglasses holder towing equipment plastic protectors on door sills and on rear bumper Other neccesary items were in standard (Climatronic, foglights etc.) My opinion: if there is possibility to take the Maxi-Dot display, take it, otherwise You will not have coolant temperature gauge and some other functions as well. I know a guy who is more than 2 metres tall and has a Roomster. Once he told me that during choose-a-car process he walked through all car shops in town and tried to sit on cars. And Roomster was virtually the only one (in his price category) he was able to get in/out without trouble. duesenberg@182cm, 95kg
  3. I can second all those things except the plastic tailgate Have have drove ca 1700km by now and things are slightly better - in the beginning it seemed to have 15kW and 50Nm. But for gasoline engines there are no easy solutions I'll gonna upgrade the headlamps with Osram Silverstar (55w rated, +50% more light) - original bulbs are ordinary Osrams. Yeah, and the engine noise. It is gasoline engine, but the noise is just like diesel engine. During acceleration my Roomster makes more noise than my Ducati!
  4. Glass roof = aerial at the rear Full metal roof = aerial at the front Plastic tailgate is only for Scout
  5. Seems that in UK is possible to have Scout without panoramic roof. Unfortunately in our market Scout is only with glass roof. I did'nt want to have it so I ordered ordinary Roomster. But Your Olive Scout looks awesome
  6. Hi Low-entry models have only warning light which will light up if the temperature is too high or the coolant level too low. Simultaneously buzzer in dashboard should make 3 short sounds. Thats the info from owner's handbook.
  7. Today is the Day Although the car was at dealer in the beginning of September it was today delivered to me.
  8. I ordered my Roomster in the end of July. Dealer told me that the car will be on production in the end of August and delivered mid-September. We'll see. I have prepared myself that the delivery might be in the end of September, because I ordered lot of extras mounted by dealer (for example el. heating for oil sump, mud flaps, towing equipment etc.)
  9. Hi If the carbon filter is connected with ventilation/heating system, its function is exactly as Bryand described. If it is closed plastic box right behind the front light and any tube/hose comes from that to intake manifold and it may have some el. connectors it may be so called evaporative loss control device (or charcoal canister) - it is also connected with the ventilation of the fuel tank. All fuel fumes are collected inside the canister. If the engine is working and has gained its normal working temperature el. control system opens the valve and fuel fumes are sucked into the intake manifold.
  10. Hi all I'm currently do not have Skoda, but couple of weeks ago I saw Roomster at local dealer and from this moment I felt that this may be my next car. T.
