  1. Hi, Probably a basic question. On my last car the jacking point was wide enough that I could jack up the car then also use that for the axle stand. On the Octavia I had no room. I had to take the undertray off and there's not much room! Where do people site the axle stand to safely support the car? A picture would be great. The reason for taking it off was rattling and I found the metal support that fits up under the bumper from the undertray was no longer attached at the top! Real pain to get back without the car up in the air... All help appreciated..
  2. Hello, I'm the proud owner of a 2014 Scout as of last week - I love it. I'm trying to sort out some Winter wheels - my petrol flap indicates I can drop to a 16" wheel from the 17" alloys on now (205/55/16). My hopefully simple question is that when I've gone online at mrwinterwheels the recommended steel tyre is 5x112, width 6", offset 48mm. Centre bore 57.1 Now there's someone locally selling some Golf steel wheels which match the specifications above exactly but state the offset to be 50mm. I've never bought wheels before so I wonder whether a difference of 2mm is in any way significant but thought I'd ask here...I may still go for the new ones but the ones on sale seem a bargain so want to consider them. My other option is crossclimates, and I see they get recommended here also. Anyway, all help appreciated. Great car, the only niggle so far is the washer top up location - madness!
