Yes your right willie5094 the mk1 will take some beating certainly for reliability had no trouble in the 8 years I have had it. If the mk2 matches that I will be very happy

Great reviews get mine end of November, its rally green black roof and black alloys. Do the latest ones come with black grill and tinted head lights? Will also be sad to see mk1 vrs go 8 years good service, its like a old friend still things move on.

Hi use Vpower in my MX5 (1600) found it makes it more responsive and better acceleration. In my Mk1 VRS no difference the vpower diesel just the same as supermarket diesel and just the same performance and economy. awaiting delivery of new MK2 VRS will let you know the difference.

Hi you may want to check the electrical connections that are in the door frame. My vrs had window and central looking problems a quick spray of WD40 did the trick. Can get moisture in the connections

Hi just had mine done. It is on 04. Belt £35 + £70 labour + VAT at independent garage. Wise to get it done and mine as only 24k on clock but Skoda advice is to replace at 4 years old hope this is helpful
