  1. I've had a new 1.2tsi Spaceback SE tech (quartz grey) since Feb. A fantastic car, for its size, masses of passenger room, great to drive, as powerful as my previous 1.4tdi Fabia estate, plenty of boot space. Someone called round the other day an said "l like your new Audi"....says it all.
  2. Update on my 1.2 tis SE tech Spaceback. Now done just over 1000 miles. For anyone debating whether to get 1.4Tdi (as I had in my 08 Fabia) or moving to petrol, hope this is off some use. I ran the Spaceback in fairly carefully, so only recently used 3000 to 4000 revs. One of my fears was to loose the great torque pull of the diesel. I have a long, ongoing gradient (on the A55) which is my test for this, and I can say in 5th the tsi is still pulling at the top, with power to spare. Maybe it was just the diesel growl making me think I was going faster. Fuel economy. On the last two 350 mile fill ups, probably 60% town and 40% open road (but no long trips), I got 47.8mpg actual (from dividing fill up by miles since previous fill up) AND amazingly was 48mpg on the car computer. The reality for my tdi on similar driving was not more than 50-52 mpg. So, in terms of performance and economy,, I'd recommend it (particularly as I now do only about 5000 miles a year). And it's a great car to drive, well equipped but not like the flight deck of an A380. The Sat nav behaves. The passenger space in the back is amazing. As with everyone else, that damn armrest........
  3. Thanks for clarification 're ambient lighting. I checked VIN decoder, is definitely 2017 build, so I'll get on and enjoy running it in.
  4. Hi, I took delivery of my new Spaceback yesterday, 27 Feb 2017, ordered late Jan. Is SETech petrol 1.2, 110psi. Delivery from Czech, not in store in UK. Presumably it should be MY 17, but as far as I can see no ambient lighting. Am I missing something, or have I been sold a MY 16? In the handbook, lots of pictures are version 1 or 2, mine 1 in all cases. An example is the fuel gauge, which is an analogue type dial. Is there anything in the vehicle identification numbers that indicates MY 16 or MY17? Any feedback would be very useful. Thanks (PS, I do think it's a great car). The arm rest does have double stitching, photo attached, is this it?. Any comments on ambient lighting? Thanks

  6. Thanks for above, you are correct. I was looking at the brochure dated April 2016. New seat trim seems to have been introduced late 2016, and is clear on the on line configurator. I can live with them! and probably an improved seat anyway. Thanks again.
  7. Hi, My new Spaceback SE tech 1.2 110 just arrived at local dealer. BUT seat trim different to black onyx in brochure. These seats have pale grey edges, not the black I imagined. Maybe not a big deal, but really alters inside appearance. Have looked at various images on web, and pictures from car dealers, and it seems "black cloth" seats includes a range of seat trim colours. Not sure whether to accept, ask for another car (that's a bit awkward, and car took 4 weeks to arrive), or see if seats could be changed. Has anyone else had this situation. Thanks
  8. Hi, from Kota. Will be taking delivery of new 1.2 110 SE Tech Spaceback in few weeks. Apart from obvious not over reving would appreciate advice/experiences of others, how long to "run in" etc, and realistically, how ok to do 60-70 on motorway etc.
  9. Hi, Thanks all. Have had a long test drive in a 1.2 110 ps. Although not that final torque of the 1.4 tdi up a long hill (or maybe I was not changing gear enough), a great engine. Few low mileage ones of the colours I prefer, so have ordered a new 1.2 SE Tech. Will report back on it in a while. May set up another topic re thoughts on "running in".
  10. Hi, Thanks for all these useful posts. Will arrange test drive of 110 and see how it goes. Kota
  11. Hi, Thanks for these useful posts. Certainly looks like the 1.2 110 Spaceback to be considered seriously. Kota
  12. Hi, I drive a 2008 Fabia 1.4 Tdi, 90,000 miles now and thinking of getting 2016 Spaceback. As I now only do about 6000 miles a year, and, without being an eco freak, thinking seriously about NOx etc, am wondering between a 1.2 110bhp petrol, or 1.4 Tdi. Has anyone experience of comparing the two, or moving from a MK 2 tdi Fabia to a 1.2, 110 Spaceback. I love the torque of the tdi, particularly long hills, and moving on motorways.Any views on how the 110 Spaceback would compare. Thanks Kota
  13. Hi, Looking to replace my 2008 Fabia estate 1.4Tdi, 90,000 on clock. Weighing up despite wonderful diesel torque to go for spaceback 1.2, 110bhp petrol. Want to weigh up environmental advantages. Can't find NOx level for 1.4tdi on (May) 2008 Fabia, on web or manufacturer. Maybe not tested then. Any ideas? Regards Kota
  14. Hi, Just joined the forum, will have some posts re my Mk2 Fabia estate, 90,000 miles and going well
