  1. Thanks guys. I've now contacted Skoda UK as well as the original dealers so I'll wait 4 them both to reply but Skoda CZ is also a good idea so will try them next. It's an automatic by the way.
  2. Thanks for that. Mechanics here have shown little enthusiasm for a second hand loom as they say it may introduce new problems. But if it comes to that it might still be better than having to scrap what has been a reliable car thanks to the ravages of a mouse 😞 I'm even thinking of trying to fit it (a second hand one) myself if I can't get a mechanic interested;
  3. Hi. We live in France with a 2009 Octavia 1.4 TSI which has been owned by us from new but is now on French plates. The car has had catastrophic mouse damage to the main engine wiring loom and we have been quoted over 5,000 euros for a new loom from a Skoda dealer here! Plus fitting costs!!! I'm trying to track down a new part in the UK which we can collect on our next visit. I've tried contacting the dealer we purchased it from and they may get back to me but can anyone suggest any other possible sources. So far I've Googled but not been able to come up with anything to indicating the cost of the loom in the UK. Thanks for any help or advice anyone can offer...
