  1. I just got the car checked at the dealer and turns out there is a problem with the bulb and they will be replacing it next Friday. So it's good to have it checked out.
  2. Mostly for testing purposes, but I was curious to see the effects of this new thing (at least to me) called ceramic coating, more specifically, Gyeon Q2 MOHS+ (http://gyeonquartz.com/product/mohsplus/) I found a local Gyeon authorised dealer detailing place. Total cost was 600€, which included washing, light polishing (new car), 3 layers of this product, and drying over night. They also provided 5 years warranty, so if defects show up or something happens to the paint under insurance, it will be covered. And they claim the coating will stay permanently unlike traditional waxing that you have to apply every X months. Gyeon also has wide variety of products the help you maintain it, which pretty much comes to a spray bottle that you use after every 2 months and simply just spray it on and wipe with fiber cloth. So far I've been quite happy with it, it really gives the car deeper color, glossy & shiny look, more scratch resistance and also repels water (which can be quite mesmerizing). The best part is when it rains the car looks like it has come straight from car show. It also keeps the dust/dirt more easily away, of course unless it's really wet and muddy day. But again, I can't fully recommend it yet, as I've only had it for a month now, but so far I've been quite happy with it. Hoping to have similar results after few years. I just uploaded video demonstrating this water repelling/hydrophobic effect.
  3. I had this message today as well, except it was to check the left side daytime running light... I've had this message now total 3 times the past 2 months since I got the car, but haven't bothered checking in with Skoda's service, as this problem has always gone away after simple ignition off and on.. However after this 3rd time I've started to wonder now if it would be better take it to service to have it checked. But I'm also afraid the dealer wont find anything. * I just realised the camera shutter didn't catch the led strip lit up properly on the car picture, but I can assure it was there
  4. I've developed habit that when I'm about to come to a short stop, I subconsciously just switch off the SS from the center console, almost like a muscle memory. Also if I know I'll be having lots of stops such as traffic jam or tight city manouvering, I'll just switch it off "permanently". So in short what I'd recommend is to make it a habit if possible. Or make it a habit to just switch it off every time you start up the car. I personally like the nice quietness/silence that comes with SS when there's a longer stop
  5. Car was just washed, completely clean, literally 10 minutes later at a construction road, a semi-truck drives by through a mud spot and that's the result
  6. Estonian summer has been quite brutal around countryside
  7. Car Menu > Settings > Personalization > Choose the user you'd like to assign the key to > Scroll down where it says "Manually pair key to user" or something, then it will tell you to press unlock key on the key you want to assign it to and thats it, next time you open car doors your most recent seat setting will be automatically move into position. To assign to 1,2,3 memory buttons you'll have to press/hold SET button first, and then the number you'd like to assign it to.
  8. I just recently set it up myself, I didn't use car manual for it though so I'm not sure if that's exactly how it'll work, but if I remember correctly all I had to do is first create/modify user profile, for ex "User 1". I think you can select the user settings under "Car" menu and then selecting the user bottom right corner or something, there should be an option where it says "manually pair key", then it prompts with a message telling you to press unlock button on the key which you want to pair with and the key will be assigned to that user profile. Now the next time you unlock the car with this key, your most previous seat and mirror settings should automatically go into position.
  9. It should work seamlessly without any effort, left, middle right-side, doesn't matter. Move feet under, move feet back.. I'm not sure but it should be automatically disabled only if you attach something to the towbar? Try checking if it's disabled in menu under "Car" and "opening and closing" sub menu. It could also have issues if the sensor area/bumper is too dirty.
  10. Picked it up last Friday, very happy with it so far! Here it is, wagon version in Corrida Red to spice it up a bit. And as it goes in Finland, why not add some snow in the middle of May. (2 hours later from the previous picture)
  11. I signed papers one week ago to have my first ever brand new car, Skoda Superb 1.4 TSI DSG Combi manufactored. However, I still have time to make changes to the selected options. I've been thinking myself about those extras, but I feel like these options are not a MUST HAVE... unless there's someone who thinks that one of those options is a must have? I have pretty much all options selected except the following: - Nivomat: 805€ - Progressive Steering: 500€ - Dynamic Chassis Control: 1050€ - Leather Seats: 280€ - Ventilated Leather Seats: 840€ - Climatronic: 315€ - Panoramic Roof: 1500€ - Columbus Audio & Navigation: 1050€ Looking for opinions, thanks.
