Official Briskoda Fabia II vRS Register
B3ats replied to ChrisRs's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I'm unsure of place names really. It's in the Manifold Valley down towards the track to Thor's Cave. -
Hi mate, for the Projector Lights in black can you supply me a part number so I can go back to my dealer and tell them to stop fobbing me off? Regards.

The Fabia vRS Review and Photo thread
B3ats replied to vRSy's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I believe the correct way to get that effect is to shoot with a tilt shift lens (such as the Canon TS-E 24mm). There was a video of a festival that I once watched that had been shot with a tilt shift lens and the effect was amazing - very surreal. This is an example: Click Here -
Is that actually right? I'll be rather pi**ed off if I can't get the full black pack just because I did Skoda a favour and ploughed extra revenue into their company!
-
Did you have the Curve Projector headlights? Could do with knowing the part numbers on the lights as my dealers are messing me about with this pack (was supposed to have it when I picked up my car on 8/6!) - would you be able to let me have this?
-
Anyone know what the two buttons in the boot do? They're the ones on the boot floor closest to the backs of the seats.

Yeah, if you read this you will know all... http://www.skoda.co.uk/GBR/Documents/Brochures/Accessories/SkodaFabia-Roomster-Bluetooth-guide.pdf -
FIRST RED VRS WITH BLACK PACK. I WIN !
B3ats replied to dickyd's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Can you please advise whether you had the curve projector headlights as my dealer has 'supposedly' been trying to source me these lights for mine but as they were new were unable to. Can you let me know what the part number is so I can kick their asses and tell them to stop f**king me about??!!?? -
I believe a software update will cure this for you - mine does 7 digits from new.
-
Sounds like an advert to me (but definitely one worth bearing in mind).
-
Also if you have cruise on in 'D' mode, to stop the car continually changing gear when going up hill just switch the DSG lever to the left, select the gear you want and it'll stay in it.

My renewal with eSure was £720 but confused.com got it me for £488 - with one of the Admiral Group.

most pointless factory extra , which one
B3ats replied to Turbo Dezzel zz's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
To be honest I find the centre armrest fantastic. Sure, when I need to put my handbrake on I have to reach around it (which can grow tiresome) but overall it's very supportive and is much used - especially so now I don't have a manual gearbox to tinker with . -
My Fabia vRS - initial thoughts
B3ats replied to G-Force2010's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Looks exactly the same as mine so it's definitely a thumbs up from me -
Not sure if this has been said but on my '11 vRS if you hold the unlock button on the key all four windows open up and if you hold lock they all close again. If your tyre pressures drop and you're left with a light on your dash there's a button down by the handbrake that makes the light go away. If you have MDI you can get a large USB powered hard drive (~500GB or so) and format it to FAT32 and then have your entire music collection in your car. If you're driving with DSG and are using the paddles, to reset it back to fully automatic mode simply hold one of the paddles in for a couple of seconds. I'm pretty sure most people will know this but the dial on top of the wiper stalk is used to set the length of time between taken between sweeps on the intermittent setting.

I had heated seats on my vRS and they're great - even in June in this tropical typically British summer climate I have found myself using them and they're great - although setting 2 does get a bit too hot in my opinion (won't be saying that come winter no doubt!) I also had the third rear headrest, but in hindsight probably shouldn't have bothered. -

well I went for a few but didn't opt for the smokers pack - £40 for a fag lighter and a cup (ashtray)! Daylight robbery! -
Mine went from being built to being at the dealer in a little over one week.
-
I regularly do this, saves asking the car to guess what you want to do by using the accelerator - this doesn't always work for me. Switching to 'S', I find that the car instantly goes into the gear to give you optimum performance and that's exactly what I want it to do. The kickdown button, I find, sometimes takes it a little too far.

Pretty much mate, the only things I didn't have were the smokers pack and the sunroof. I'm glad I did have all that I did have though cause most of the stuff on it I really do use and take full advantage of.

vrs bluetooth and telephone prep, what should i get?
B3ats replied to chas's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I must say that the Bluetooth functionality works well - makes a bloody annoying 'bong' though. There's phonebook support, recent calls lists and it plays music from you phone through the speakers. The Maxi-Dot displays the phone name, network it's on, signal level & battery level (at least it does on mine). -

On the one I have there is a picture of a phone on it - it's probably a Skoda con, but seeing as everyone who has ordered it gets this and the brochures and everything else has a picture of this wheel then it must be right. Holding the phone button down brings up the voice activation. I've not seen another wheel to compare it to unfortunately. EDIT: When I say that there's only one wheel - I mean one style of wheel (buttons on the left).
